There’s a reason golfers drive past a lot of golf courses to get to EagleSticks.
Every weekend, we welcome players from Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Columbus, Cincinnati and communities all across the region. Some make a day of it. Some make a weekend of it. And many of them come back year after year.
Maybe a picture of #7 helps explain why.
When EagleSticks was young, Golf Digest took notice almost immediately. Ron Whitten and the Golf Digest team were writing at the time about a “return to playability” — golf courses that weren’t just difficult or dramatic, but were actually fun to play.
More than three decades later, that may be one of the best descriptions of what has allowed EagleSticks to stand the test of time.
It isn’t the longest golf course. It doesn’t need to be.
It asks you to think. It gives you choices. It gives you uneven lies, elevation changes, risk, reward and golf holes that stick in your memory long after you leave.
And somehow, when you finish 18, you usually want another shot at it.
Golf Digest recognized something special here very early.
Thirty-five years later, seeing license plates in our parking lot from all over Ohio, Pennsylvania and beyond tells us they were onto something.
This is #7.

🌊 ONE MONTH LATER… 🌅⛳
It’s hard to believe these pictures were taken from nearly the same spot on #11.
One month ago, Mother Nature reminded us who was in charge, with floodwaters covering the fairway and leaving behind plenty of damage.
This morning, the view tells a much different story. ☀️
The course still shows some scars from the wrath of Mother Nature, and there is still work to be done. But every day we see a little more progress.
Our grounds crew has been working hard behind the scenes—repairing, restoring and taking the necessary steps to get EagleSticks back to where we want it to be. 💪⛳
As we’ve said from the beginning, recovery requires two things:
Hard work… and the magic ingredient of TIME. ⏳
We’re thankful for the progress, incredibly appreciative of our grounds crew, and grateful to everyone who has continued to support EagleSticks along the way.
The water is gone.
The grass is healing.
And each morning looks a little more like EagleSticks again. 💚🦅⛳

⛳️🎯 A PERFECT SHOT FOR A GREAT CAUSE! 🎯⛳️

Yesterday’s Carr Center Golf Outing was about much more than golf. It was a day of supporting an organization whose mission is to help youth and adults reach their fullest potential through educational programs and functional support. ❤️

And while helping support that mission, Dave Adams was rewarded with a pretty special moment of his own!

🔥 HOLE-IN-ONE! 🔥

Dave stepped up to the 151-yard 12th hole at EagleSticks and delivered a beautiful shot that found its way all the way to the bottom of the cup! 🏌️‍♂️💥⛳️

What a moment on a great day for a great cause!

John Huston knocked one in from 151 yards on #12 yesterday for a HOLE-IN-ONE! 🎯🔥
We’re not sure how long he plans to keep talking about it, but based on our experience with golfers… probably forever. 😂
Congratulations, John! One swing. One bounce. One story that gets better every time it’s told. 🍻⛳

⛳️ At EagleSticks, our staff is always looking for ways to make your golf experience a little better.
Sometimes that means smooth greens, fresh cups and carefully selected hole locations…
…and sometimes it means finding that perfect spot where every ball funnels straight to the bottom of the cup. 😂🏌️‍♂️
We can’t promise every shot will find the hole…
…but apparently our grounds crew is doing everything they can to help! 😎⛳️

🐈‍⬛⛳️ MEET HAIRY VARDON! ⛳️🐈‍⬛
Every morning at EagleSticks, there’s a lot happening before most golfers ever arrive.
🌅 Greens are being mowed.
⛳ Cups are being changed.
🚜 The course is being prepared for another day of golf.
And apparently, our newest member of the grounds crew is making sure everything is done properly. 😂
Meet Hairy Vardon — pictured here closely supervising the cup-changing operation.
We’re not sure how much actual work Hairy gets done, but his attention to detail is impressive. 😹
These quiet mornings are a good reminder of how much work our grounds crew put in behind the scenes every single day to get EagleSticks ready for you.
Hairy, of course, prefers to take all the credit. 🐾🏆⛳️

Hayden “Boog” Hardcastle added another incredible chapter to an already unbelievable golf story Wednesday night while playing for Maysville High School.

That was Boog’s 5th career hole-in-one — at just 16 years old! 🤯👏
Even more impressive, it was his 3rd ace right here at EagleSticks! 🦅⛳
Most golfers spend a lifetime hoping to make ONE. Boog almost needs a second hand to keep count! 😂🔥
Congratulations, Hayden “Boog” Hardcastle! What an absolutely incredible accomplishment. We have a feeling this young man isn’t finished making golf memories anytime soon! 🏆🙌
