York White Rose Run

We've been getting quite a few questions about whether York White Rose Run is happening this year, so I wanted to give everyone an update.

𝐘𝐞𝐬 - 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧! 🎉

We are making some changes behind the scenes, and we've decided to move this year's race from 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟔 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟑𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔. The additional time will allow us to put the right pieces in place and make this year's event a great one.

One of the changes is that, after many years of incredible support, 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐫 & 𝐆𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐬 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫.

White Rose Bar & Grill has been such an important part of this race and the York running community for so many years. I am incredibly grateful for White Rose Bar & Grill team for their longstanding support and for everything they've done to help make this event a tradition. We completely understand their decision and wish them continued success. ❤

As we move into this next chapter, 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐘𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐑𝐮𝐧 𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐬. We are already exploring several options and working hard to find the right partners to help us continue this tradition.

𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐚 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲, 𝐨𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞, 𝐈 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. We are open to exploring different sponsorship opportunities and would be happy to talk through how we can create a partnership that benefits both the race and the business.

And if you have a connection to a 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐫 𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐞 that might be a good fit for race day, we'd love an introduction there as well!

This running community has always been a huge part of what makes the York White Rose Run special, and 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐮𝐬 𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠.

We don't have the details worked out just yet, but 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐘𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐑𝐮𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧.

Packet pickup is today, Friday, September 26, at Fleet Feet York (1511 Mt Rose Ave) from 2:00–7:00pm. You may also register for the race during this time (cash or Venmo only).

Please note a few important updates for race day:
1. Sandwich options at White Rose will be turkey or grilled cheese. Due to limited staffing, the full menu may not be available.
2. Porta-pots will be available in the White Rose parking lot. Please be aware that the lot will remain open to vehicles.
3. The York Road Runners Club will be selling merchandise inside White Rose after the race.
4. Winners will be announced at the finish line shortly after 9:30am.
5. Race day packet pickup will begin at 6:30am. Race day registration will also be available (cash or Venmo only).

🚧 Course is marked and ready in the city! 🚧

Our volunteers will be using these markings to set barricades and keep runners safe, while directional arrows guide you along the course. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

This year’s route takes you through some powerful and historic sights in York:

1️⃣ Court of Valor & Safekeepers Shrine & K9 Memorials (1.5 miles) – Honoring York County veterans who received medals of valor or heroism, and first responders who gave their lives in the line of duty.

2️⃣ Community Mausoleum (just past 2 miles) – Housing 360 crypts numbered 1-361, with entombments of Shipley, Pfaltzgraff, and other prominent York County figures.

3️⃣ Soldiers Circle (shortly after 2.5 miles) – The resting place of 163 Union Soldiers, part of the National Cemetery Association and not owned by the cemetery.
