September's Service Project: The Jed Foundation
September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month, and this month we're dedicating our service project to an organization doing some of the most important work in that space: The Jed Foundation (JED).
JED is a nonprofit protecting emotional health and preventing su***de for teens and young adults, partnering with high schools and colleges nationwide to build stronger mental health systems and giving young people real tools to navigate life's hardest moments.
As always, a portion of our profits this month goes directly to JED, alongside any fundraisers we run in the studio. If you want to get involved beyond your mat time, you can learn more or give directly at jedfoundation.org.

5 Years of Giving Back: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
This August marks a special milestone for Seva, five years of supporting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as our August Service Project.
St. Jude provides world-class care for children battling cancer and other life-threatening diseases, and families never receive a bill. No parent has to choose between their child's treatment and keeping a roof over their head. St. Jude covers the cost of care, travel, housing, and food, so families can focus on the only thing that matters: helping their child heal.
For five years, our Seva community has shown up for this mission. Join us again this August as we continue that tradition and support the incredible work of St. Jude.
5 Years of Seva
Five years ago, Seva Yoga opened its doors with a simple idea: that community and yoga could do more than fill a studio, they could give back.
Since then, we've supported nearly 70 different charities. That support has shown up as tens of thousands of dollars raised, book drives, clothing drives, and countless hours volunteered alongside organizations doing real work in our community and beyond.
None of it happens without you. The way this community has shown up, again and again, has pushed this project further than we ever imagined when we started.
Running a small business isn't easy. But five years in, this part has never been in question. It's been worth every bit of the work.
Here's to the next five.
Be Well and Do Good Work
Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice that weaves gentle movement and breathwork into a seamless flow, cultivating energy and calm from the inside out. Accessible to all levels, this class is an invitation to slow down and begin your day from a grounded place.
Debra Jackson brings warmth and depth to her teaching. Come ready to move slowly, breathe fully, and leave feeling restored.

Seva's July Service Project: The Skin Cancer Foundation
This month, we're dedicating our practice to The Skin Cancer Foundation, a nonprofit that has led skin cancer education and prevention since 1979.
The numbers make the case for why this matters. One in five Americans will develop skin cancer in their lifetime. More than 9,500 people are diagnosed every day in the U.S. And five or more sunburns doubles your risk of melanoma. But early detection changes the outcome: caught early, melanoma has a 99% five-year survival rate.
The Foundation's "Big See" campaign asks people to check their skin monthly for anything new, changing, or unusual. It's a simple practice, not unlike the attention we bring to the mat: showing up for the body, noticing what's there.
Throughout July, we'll be raising awareness and collecting donations in the studio to support the Foundation's research and education programs. As always a portion of all sales in July will be donated to the Skin Care Foundation. You can also give directly at skincancer.org.
Sun protection isn't separate from self-care. It's part of it.

Tai Yoga: Five Animal Qigong
12pm June 16th, 23rd, and 30th
Explore the ancient wisdom of Wudang Five Animal Qigong through a yoga-infused lens in this one-of-a-kind class that blends the best of both traditions. Drawing on the five animals (Dragon, Tiger, Leopard, Snake, and Crane) each corresponding to an element, an emotion, and specific organs of the body, this practice traces a path of internal transformation from primordial essence to pure spirit, mirroring the Daoist journey of self-cultivation.
Through mindful movement and breath, students will work to open and strengthen the internal organs, improve circulation, and build flexibility, balance, coordination, and body awareness. Beyond the physical, this practice serves as a compass for emotional well-being. Bringing awareness to imbalances held in the body and mind, and gently releasing feelings of anxiety, stress, and tension that accumulate through the demands of daily life.
Whether you are new to qigong or deepening an existing practice, Tai Yoga offers accessible, meaningful tools for cultivating greater health, mental stability, and longevity. Come move, breathe, and find your balance.
