Even with surgery a bit ago that didn’t stop her from getting back to the gym!

If you check out a 5:30 pm class be ready for her to be by your side pushing you, encouraging you, but also making you laugh so hard you want to p*e your pants !

🌟 Member Spotlight: Emily 🌟

Emily Engebretson lost 6 pounds of body fat in just ONE month—an incredible accomplishment! 💪

But that's not even the best part.

The most rewarding change has been watching healthy habits become a family lifestyle. Her son joined our sport-specific program and discovered a love for lifting, too. Now, they meal prep together, prioritize getting enough protein, and focus on eating foods that fuel their bodies for performance and everyday life.

When health and fitness become a family effort, it's about so much more than the number on the scale. It builds stronger connections, creates accountability, and inspires everyone to become the best version of themselves.

We're so proud of you, Emily, and the example you're setting for your family. Keep crushing it! 👏❤️

Meet Lisa Courtney.

She has been with us since April and there hasn’t been a single class that she doesn’t put in 100% effort.

I love her positive energy- never complains and you can sometimes catch her dancing in between sets 🙌.

Weight loss looks different for everyone.

🤝 Your support doesn’t stop when class ends. During your goal reviews, we talk about everything happening outside the studio too—nutrition, sleep, stress, recovery, daily habits, and the obstacles you’re facing. Because lasting results come from what happens both inside AND outside the gym.

💙 We're excited to introduce the newest member of the Empower Fitness coaching team... Bella!

At Empower, we're committed to bringing you coaches who are knowledgeable, passionate, and genuinely invested in helping women become stronger and more confident. Bella is all of that and more.

Bella is a South Dakota native who recently earned her Personal Training Certification and is entering her final year of collegiate basketball after competing at the NCAA Division I level for four years. This fall she'll continue her basketball career at Mount Marty while pursuing her Master's degree in Coaching Leadership.

You'll see Bella coaching LIFT classes, working one-on-one with personal training clients, and helping with our youth programs.

Here's a little from Bella herself...

"Hi everyone! I'm Bella Swedlund. I'm 22 years old, a South Dakota native, and recently earned my personal training certification.

I'll be playing my final season of women's basketball at Mount Marty after spending four years competing at the Division I level. This fall, I'll also be starting my Master's degree in Coaching Leadership.

I'm excited to become part of the Empower family and can't wait to meet all of you! Let's get to work!" 💪
