Please, PLEASE, help us get these back!
STOLEN! Sometime between 9pm last night and this morning someone stole the wood vultures and signs off the log cabin at our beloved Vultures K**b. These items were to be hung on the building at the new property. If you can help us get them back please do! If you thought they were not important and it was a harmless souvenir grab please return them and ask forgiveness. If you know who has them encourage them to return them or send us a message. Needless to say the VK crew are a bit heartbroken to find these missing this morning.

As many know, I’m working on a documentary for Vultures K**b.
The format follows that of my long term project, Portraits of Adventure where I capture and showcase the connections people have to outdoor spaces. There are multiple chapters and VK is one currently in the works.
I’ve been interviewing and capturing portraits of as many individuals as I can in the last few weeks before the last ride. I’m humbled by the vulnerability as people have shared their stories, connection and perspectives. The stories I’ve been hearing are wonderful!
I have a couple of asks that will help this push this project through and provide rich storytelling.
1️⃣ I’m looking for one clean lap on video. Ideally a FULL lap from this season. One without stopping, or too many wobbles. Ideally it’s in min 2k footage. I’d love to have this on the main page of the project so a visitor can get an idea of what the trail was like at the end.
2️⃣ Any photos you have that you think should be included. These can be a group photo around the fire, a feature that used to exist, and your regular shenanigans out there. ( if you do provide any images, I’d ask that you share context for a caption)
3️⃣ I’m trying to get to as many people as possible for interviews and portraits. There is a balance here in making sure I’m able to spend enough time learning a persons story, AND creating a quality portrait. - which means the time of day is critical, and carving out time. If you feel you have a unique connection and story to VK, please reach out. I’ll be there tomorrow ( 8/27 from 1ish to end of race, 8/28 from early AM - 11:00), and potentially 8/29 if it makes sense.
I had a few portraits already captured and written up on the page. The main write up for the trail will change as I learn more about the history and such. Feel free to take a look.
I appreciate your support with this!

The trails will be closed to non-racers for a couple hours starting at 6:30. You are still welcome to hang out and camp at the trailhead or get a night ride in after the race concludes.

Let the moving commence!
We have some more contracts that need to be signed before we can share details on where we're going, but if you want a sneak peek come help us move! This Sunday at our Move-Out Work Day - Signage and Stuff we'll be cleaning out the garage and removing signage, so we'll need as many hands as we can get! We'll provide lunch and beverages!
Our Move-Out Work Day - Structures is September 5, and if we need an additional date that'll be the Move-Out Work Day Rain Date on September 12.
