Two subjects have contacted Karen this week advising that they signed up and paid for a membership online. Please be aware that the House of Iron does not sell online memberships and this appears to be a SCAM. Please be cautious and contact the gym directly with any questions.

We want to take a minute to recognize Jim and Janice Jones who are the most senior members of the House of Iron family. They are an inspiration to other members, showing that growing older does not mean that you have to stop doing the things you enjoy. Keep up the good work and look forward to many more years of working out. To quote Karen..."It's better to be the oldest person in the gym instead of the youngest person in a nursing home".

The House of Iron family wishes to offer their deepest condolences to the Hutchinson family for their loss. Tim was a pleasure to have around the gym and he will be missed.

Congratulations to Brent Troyer and his trainer, Hector Manes Jr., who recently won Cage Thunder's MMA Amateur Championship by defending his title at 135 pounds. Hard work and dedication definitely paid off. Good luck in your career and future matches.
Additionally, Hector runs Iron Glove Boxing at the House of Iron Gym where students of all levels learn new skills.

Hector Manes Jr. (Iron Glove Boxing) will start boxing classes on July 8th. All skill levels are welcome to attend and get into great shape and develop self defense skills. Sessions will be held on Tuesdays from 6:00pm-8:00pm and Saturday from 12:00pm- 2:00pm. Rates are as follow:

$25 per individual session
$75 per month for one session per week
$125 per month for two sessions per week

Congratulations to Karen who set another world record in the women's deadlift competition this past week in Royal Oak, Michigan. Karen pulled 320 pounds which beat the old record by 76 pounds. A shout out to "Big Tom" who made it all possible with his behind the scene support and coaching. Keep up the great work !

The House of Iron is happy to partner with Hector Manes Jr. in offering boxing classes in the near future. Hector (Iron Glove Boxing) has over 20 years of boxing and MMA experience. Hector was three times Junior Olympics boxing champion as well as the Metro City , NY/NJ boxing champion. Hector will focus on boxing MMA and self defense skills .
