Gault Recreation Center

Patrons of the Gault Recreation Center,

As we begin the school year, we wanted to share that the Gault will be closed to the public from the hours of 7:30 am until 6:00 pm during the school week until September 18th. We realize that this is an inconvenience, and we apologize as we need to use the center for physical education classes for Wooster High School as the main gymnasium has work completed on its gym floor during this time.

Back to School Bash 8/10/2026

Good afternoon,

This Monday the Wooster City Schools are hosting their Back To School Bash that will be held at Follis Field. The event will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.

Should the weather not cooperate on Monday, we will be hosting the event in the Gault Recreation Center. If this change were to be made, the Gault Recreation Center would be closed to its patrons beginning Monday at 12:00 pm, and through that entire evening. The Gault would resume its normal operational hours on Tuesday, August 11th.

The Gault Recreation Center will be closed on Wednesday, July 22nd and Thursday, July 23rd, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm as we host the Wooster High School Volleyball camp.

We apologize for this change, and appreciate your cooperation and support.

Thank you for your patience! The GRC will be re-opened tomorrow. In addition to the lighting project, the staff conducted a deep clean on all equipment!

The Gault Rec Center will be closed from April 6 - April 17 for a lighting reconstruction project. GRC Members will have their memberships extended an extra two weeks to accommodate!
