Inconvenient truth: If you’ve spent years listing all the reasons weight loss is beyond your control (whatever condition or genetics you may be dealing with) and then you’re able to take a shot that suppresses your appetite and you lose weight then it’s not your condition that’s prevented you from losing weight. Which means you can actually do it yourself without the shot.

But this is actually GOOD news. Because you know you can’t take the shot for the rest of your life. You do know that right?

Carried an awful lot of weight of all kinds in my life for a really long time. Got so used to carrying a lot of it that I didn’t even notice it anymore. But it eventually broke me.

That’s really only part of the story. I’ve been rebuilt. I’ve laid many demons to rest. I’m a better version of myself. I’m happier. I’ve grown into things I never even had on the radar.

There’s a line in an Axel Wilder song that I think applies here and it sends chills through my body every time.

“That weight that used to hurt now stands as proof of what I’m worth.” Yeah man. THAT!!!

Bryce Henson is the CEO of Fit Body Boot Camp and a man that I respect. He has a saying. “Turn adversity into advantage.” Yeah, I’m a fan of that philosophy.

I’m no longer weighed down by my past struggles. I’m powered by them and using them to help others every chance I get.

Now off to lift some heavy things and put some Axel Wilder on the headphones.
