⚾️ STEP & LEG HANG DRILL | CATCHER THROWING DEVELOPMENT
Throwing harder to second base isn’t just about having a strong arm—it starts with learning how to use your lower half efficiently.
The Step & Leg Hang Drill teaches catchers to stay loaded on the back leg instead of rushing forward. We want to feel that back side working, maintain balance, and then use the ground to create force as we drive toward second base.
When the lower half works correctly, the hips and upper body can sequence behind it. That creates a more powerful, efficient throw without trying to manufacture velocity with the arm.
Stay loaded. Use the ground. Drive through the throw. Finish toward your target.
Arm strength matters—but learning how to use your entire body is what helps turn that strength into game-time velocity. 💪⚾️
