25 years ago, our nation changed forever.
Today, we remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001. We honor the first responders who ran toward danger, the heroes who emerged in the darkest hours, and the families whose lives were forever changed.
We remember a nation that came together.
We remember the flags flying from homes, barns and businesses.
We remember strangers helping strangers.
We remember Americans standing shoulder to shoulder.
And we remember a country turning to God in prayer.
Twenty-five years later, may we never allow the passing of time to lessen the weight of that day or the gratitude we carry for those who serve and protect our freedom.
May God continue to comfort the families who carry these losses and watch over the men and women who serve our country and our communities.
