Captain Lizzie is an all around high achiever and total legend. She is known for her incredible boat feel and positive vibes.

Her favorite memory with OARS happened at states. Mid-race her oarlock came undone. She still doesn’t know how she managed to get her oar back in, but the girls in her boat are glad she did! That kind of calmness from Lizzie G is what makes her Lizzie G!

She is headed to UCF this fall to study marketing, Go Knights! Lizzie wants to give a huge shoutout to her brothers Aaron and Nathan for pulling her into this sport, her parents for their continued support, and her girls (Emily, Emily, and Kate) for being her people through every brutal piece.

Congratulations, Lizzie. We are so proud of you!

Ty is a State Champion, a National Scholar, and a future Aerospace Engineer. He has been doing remarkable things throughout his time at OARS, and he is just getting started.

As a National Hispanic Scholar, National African American Scholar, and AP Scholar with Honors, and a stand out teammate. He led his crew win it all as the 2025 Florida State Champions in the Lightweight 8+.

This fall, Ty heads to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville to study Aerospace Engineering. The sky is quite literally not the limit for him. Ty wants to give a special shoutout to his best friends Mateo and Bradley. They are the kind of crew you carry with you wherever life takes you.

Congratulations, Ty! OARS is so proud of everything you have accomplished.
