This week, we’re proud to celebrate 11 years of Bob’s Pro Shop serving the Wilmington and surrounding bowling community!

Bob’s Pro Shop was founded in 2015 by Lou Gizzi and Keith White at Cardinal Lanes on Shipyard Boulevard. As the bowling community continued to grow, so did we, expanding to Cardinal Lanes North (Beach Bowl) while remaining committed to providing the best service, coaching, and pro shop experience possible.

Today, Bob’s Pro Shop is proudly owned by Louis Carrai, who also serves as one of our pro shop operators alongside Benjamin Chesson. What makes our team special is that Louis and Ben aren’t just operators, they’re local youth bowlers who grew up in the Wilmington bowling community. They’ve walked these approaches, bowled these leagues, and now have the privilege of giving back to the community that helped shape them.

Louis Carrai is also a USBC Silver Level Coach, one of the highest coaching certifications offered by the United States Bowling Congress. This certification represents advanced training in bowling biomechanics, ball motion, lane play, physical game development, and coaching techniques. It allows Louis to provide bowlers of all skill levels with professional instruction backed by nationally recognized coaching education, helping everyone from new bowlers to tournament competitors improve their game.

We’re also excited to have Mike N Neiki Tiffany who joined last year as a member of our pro shop team. In a short time, Mike has already made a tremendous impact and earned the respect of bowlers throughout our area.

A huge thank you also goes to our incredible brand ambassadors, Nashaun Moore and Christopher Campanelli, for representing Bob’s Pro Shop both on and off the lanes.

For 11 years, our mission has remained the same: provide honest advice, professional ball fitting and drilling, quality equipment, and support bowlers of every age and skill level.

To everyone who has trusted us over the years, thank you. Here’s to many more years of growing the game together.

This week, the Bob’s Pro Shop team had the opportunity to attend the The Kegel Training Center in Lake Wales, Florida, for an intensive week of on-lane training and pro shop tune-up.

Our goal wasn’t just to improve our own games, it was to become better coaches, ball fitters, and resources for the bowlers we serve every day. We spent the week diving deeper into modern bowling fundamentals, including timing, targeting, lane play, ball motion, the modern release, and the “why” behind each adjustment.

More importantly, we came away with proven drills, coaching techniques, and valuable knowledge that we can’t wait to bring back and implement here in our bowling community. We’re excited to share what we’ve learned and continue helping bowlers of all skill levels improve their games.

A huge thank you to the Kegel Training Center for an outstanding week of learning. We’re looking forward to putting this knowledge to work back home!
