Delcastle Golf Course is known as being one of the finest public golf facilities in the area. In addition to its challenging 18 hole golf course, Delcastle has a full service restaurant and bar, a driving range, miniature golf, banquet facilities, and golf lessons. Delcastle Golf Course was the proud recipient of the 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005 News Journal's Reader's Choice Award for the #1 Public golf course in Delaware... four years in a row! Delcastle was also named Indigo Sports Facility of the Year for 2020. Delcastle Golf Course is a par 72 championship golf course with rolling hills, wide fairways, and large bent grass greens. Designed by Ed Ault and opened in 1971, Delcastle is one of northern Delaware's finest public golf courses. Delcastle challenges the lower handicapper from the back tees, yet allows the average or beginning golfer an enjoyable golfing experience from the middle or forward tees. Could not let today end without giving a massive thank you to one of the most hard working and dedicated employees to ever do it at Delcastle, Super Steve!

Steve has been the head Superintendent at the castle for the last 15 plus years, and if you've played with us recently you know the strides our course has taken during his tenure. Under Steve's leadership, the agronomy team does a tremendous job dealing with adverse weather conditions, extremely busy tee sheets, and a small but mighty crew, to put out some of the best public course conditions in the county.

We are incredibly thankful not only today but everyday for Steve and his amazing team! Cheers to the last 15 plus years and cheers to another 15 more!
