Thank you for all your visits, support and participation this year. This summer has been one of our busiest yet!

We’re finished our largest camp season ever with over 500 campers, got back to pre-pandemic numbers in our historic running and mountain bike race series, and continuing planning and permitting efforts for trail upgrades and new community building. Trail and facilities maintenance also remain top priorities. Every one of these initiatives is made possible through generous gifts of both time and financial support from people like you.

Your involvement with Catamount through memberships, sponsorships, partnerships, donations, and volunteerism allows us to provide these exceptional community recreational and educational opportunities.

To help us continue to provide these resources and services, please support the Catamount Outdoor Family Center with a donation to our 2026 Annual Fund.

This year, you can direct your gift to one of two funds:

*General Fund – Supports our staffing, planning, permitting, programming, operations, and the year-round work that keeps Catamount thriving.

*Trail Fund – Directly supports trail construction costs and matching fund requirements for our Comprehensive Trail Plan, including the upcoming Balsams-Elbow-Pumptrack project upgrades!

As a small nonprofit with big responsibilities, your Annual Fund gift is essential to our long-term health and sustainability. Every dollar helps us care for the Catamount Community Forest trail network while providing year-round outdoor recreation, environmental education, and community programming for tens of thousands of visitors.

Visit our website to learn more, sign up for our newsletter, and follow us on social media to stay up to date on these projects and everything happening at Catamount.

Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to seeing you on the trails and sharing in your adventures at Catamount!

As the summer race series wraps up this week, we want to extend a huge THANK YOU to each and every racer, sponsor, volunteer, and staff who came out this season and helped make the longest-running weekly race series in the country so special!

From packed start lines and new faces to returning racers, exciting competition, and countless miles of smiles, 2026 has been another incredible year at Catamount. Together, we’ve continued to create opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to get outside, challenge themselves, and have fun.

And this is only possible because of you.

Help us build on this year’s momentum by making a gift to our 2026 Annual Ask. Your support fuels the races, camps, clubs, clinics, and day-to-day operations that make these experiences possible and helps ensure we can keep growing them in the years ahead.

We’ve accomplished so much together this year. Let’s keep it rolling into 2027.

See you on the start line, and thank you for making Catamount such a wonderful place to play outdoors!

Step into your breath: A walking breath focused event with The Breath and Balance
Saturday, September 19, 9am – 11am
Catamount Outdoor Family Center, Williston, Vermont

Just because breathing is automatic, doesn’t mean you’re great at it. Similar to how you condition your muscles, you can train yourself to breathe more efficiently. As your breathing efficiency improves, you have more energy to do the activities you love. Improve your breath and improve your health. Develop your breathing capabilities, create resilience, and connect to yourself. There are many ways to breathe. If you can breathe with more ease, it’s easier to do everything.

In this 2-hour workshop, you’ll learn and practice ways to turn your walk into a respiratory strength practice and breathing meditation. You will be walking approximately half the time. We’ll continuously regroup for short discussions after short walks using different breathing techniques.

Nicole Carpenter is a certified Oxygen Advantage breathwork instructor, facilitator, and coach, practicing breathwork for 20+ years and teaching since 2022 with The Breath and Balance. Nicole utilizes an experiential approach, grounded in the science of efficient, functional, and natural breathing. Nicole is a hiker, runner, biker, walker, and outdoor enthusiast.

See you there!

Hello Catamount family,

What a summer! With 500+ campers, race series returning to pre-pandemic participation, and exciting trail projects moving forward, Catamount has been busier than ever.

None of this is possible without your continued support 💚
Please consider making a gift to our 2026 Annual Fund:

🌲 General Fund — Supports staffing, programming, operations, maintenance, and year-round work at Catamount.

🚵 Trail Fund — Directly supports construction and matching funds for our Comprehensive Trail Plan, including the upcoming Balsams–Elbow–Pumptrack upgrades.

We’re nearing approval to begin construction on these long-awaited improvements, which will create more sustainable, accessible trails and better experiences for hikers, bikers, runners, skiers, snowshoers, and outdoor enthusiasts of all ages and abilities.

Catamount also invests $100,000+ every year maintaining our trails and facilities; that investment will grow as our trail system expands.

Every gift, volunteer hour, membership, donation of materials, or professional service helps keep Catamount healthy, welcoming, and accessible for our community.

Support the 2026 Annual Fund and learn more about our projects at catamountoutdoor.org/donate/

Thank you for helping make Catamount possible. See you on the trails!
