A studio tradition we have participated in for over 10 years, is the Rex Allen Days parade. This season we have our Sidelines Cheer, Legend Performance Team, and All Star Cheer, walking, dancing, and performing during the parade. We continue to celebrate our Diamond Decade with this special tradition! 💜💎

Did you know that our Acro Gymnastics instructor Miss Bethani is certified through Acrobatic Arts and that makes Legend an acrobatic arts certified studio?

But what does that mean? What is acrobatic arts? Acrobatic arts is a comprehensive training program for dance educators to safely teach AcroDance. The curriculum covers anatomy, technique, progressions, lesson planning, choreography, and more. Developed with input from over 100 experts in ballet, modern dance, jazz, contortion, artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, sport acrobatics, yoga, acro yoga, pilates, physiotherapy, and hand balancing who were consulted in creating the acrobatic arts syllabus, it’s the most well-researched program in the industry.

The Acrobatic Arts Syllabus is endorsed by physiotherapists, professional dancers and professional acrobats including Cirque Du Soleil Acrobats.

What does it take to become an acrobatic arts certified AcroDance instructor and get your Acrobatic Arts Teacher License?

Studying a manual of 135 pages to pass the written exam learning all the basic muscles/ muscle groups, how to train flexibility and strength for those muscles/ groups, what those muscles are used for in the different acro skills, how to prevent injuries, and the 12 hour live course over two days ending in the practical exam where you demonstrate your knowledge and skills in teaching safe progressions and how to spot different Acro skills safely and correctly.
