The Cabin’s mission is to become a National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) 5-star rated range and the recognized leader in its targeted market for a state-of-the-art indoor shooting range facility, fi****ms training, and ammunition sale services. The Cabin provide a comfortable, safe, and low pressure environment for all shooters, especially those new to the sport. We look forward to helping everyone new to gun ownership become acquainted with the basics of firearm safety, operations, and marksmanship. With specialized skill based classes and personal instruction, The Cabin will enlighten and equip people to be responsible gun owners.

This training is for individuals who have completed the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Course and are seeking NRA Pistol Instructor Certification.
*Proof of Basic Pistol Course completion will be required.
*If you have NOT completed the NRA Basic Pistol Course, contact us before signing up for the Instructor Training.

Schedule:
-BIT-Sat., Nov. 7, 2026/9:00AM - 6:00PM. *The Pre-Course shooting qualification will be conducted at 9:00AM.

-Pistol Instructor Training Sun. Nov. 8, 2026/9:00AM* - 7:00PM.
*8:00AM for pre-qual re-shoot if needed

NRA Basic Pistol Course

This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for the safe use of a pistol.
This course is approx. eight hours long and includes classroom and range time.
It is an ideal place to start in your fi****ms training journey!

Topics covered:
-NRA’s rules for safe gun handling
-Pistol parts and operation
-Ammunition
-Shooting fundamentals
-Range rules
-Maintenance
*Fi****ms and ammunition are provided

Students will receive the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook and upon successful completion of the Course, students will receive a course completion certificate.
