Today is Thank a Golf Course Superintendent Day, and we’re taking a moment to recognize one of the driving forces behind Sand Creek Station.

A huge thank you to James Houchen, whose dedication, leadership, and countless hours of hard work have helped shape our course since day one. Because of his passion and commitment, Sand Creek Station has grown into the course so many have come to know and love.

We’re also incredibly grateful for our outstanding grounds crew. Each member brings their own unique talents, expertise, and attention to detail, and together they work tirelessly to keep the course in exceptional condition every single day. Their efforts often happen behind the scenes, but they never go unnoticed.

🏆🔥 THE FINAL NUMBERS ARE IN — AND WHAT A RACE IT WAS! 🔥🏆

What an incredible way to close out the inaugural season of the Wichita APT! Watching the GooD LiFE Golf Lab Player of the Year races develop throughout the year was one of the highlights of the season. Players battled all year long, points were earned one tournament at a time, and almost every race came down to our FINAL EVENT! That’s exactly how a Player of the Year race should be decided! 💪⛳

🏆 DIVISION 1 — KIPP JONES | 2,680 POINTS
Kipp put together an outstanding season and ultimately created some separation at the top. Kelly Sellers and Zach Eck kept the pressure on throughout the year, but Kipp finishes 2026 on top and becomes our Division 1 Player of the Year!

🏆 DIVISION 2 — JASON DODD | 1,566.89 POINTS
How about this one?! Jason Dodd and Ryan Walton finished separated by just 8.16 POINTS! After an entire season of tournament golf, it basically came down to the final holes of the year. Jason hangs on to claim an unbelievably close Division 2 Player of the Year title!

🏆 DIVISION 3 — BRAYDON LUND | 1,250.80 POINTS
Division 3 was competitive all season, with Tracy Hanback, Ricky Muniz, Matt Jensen and Austin Uffendell all in the hunt. Braydon Lund delivered when it mattered and finishes the year at the top of a loaded division to earn Division 3 Player of the Year!

🏆 DIVISION 4 — TYLER BALL | 436.19 POINTS
Another race that stayed alive all the way to the finish! Tyler Ball winning the Season Finale, jumped him to the top of the standings! Kelly McDowell and a tight group behind them to capture the Division 4 Player of the Year crown. A fantastic season and a well-earned championship!

🏆 DIVISION 5 — ERIK HOPPER | 255 POINTS
What a year for Erik Hopper! His play throughout the season not only earned him a promotion to Division 4, but he also finishes the year as our Division 5 Player of the Year! An awesome accomplishment and a testament to the work he put into his game.

🏆 MID-AM NET — RICKY MUNIZ | 358.75 POINTS
Ricky Muniz had to fight off Tyler Ball, Will Grimmett, Matt Jensen and Kelly Sellers in another race that stayed competitive late into the season. Ricky finishes on top and takes home the 2026 Mid-Am Net Player of the Year!

🏆 SENIOR NET — TRACY HANBACK | 280.75 POINTS
Tracy Hanback capped off a terrific season by claiming the Senior Net Player of the Year title! Rex Robinson, Scott Rausch, Erik Hopper and Scott Miller rounded out a great season-long battle.

Thank you Crestview Country Club for hosting Day 2 of our Season Finale yesterday! The golf course was in GREAT SHAPE and course had some amazing hospitality!!
