🚦 Turn Volunteering Into Fundraising, Join Our Course Crew! 🚦

The Fall Prairie Fire Marathon is October 11, and our biggest volunteer need is Course Crew, and it's a great opportunity for your group to raise money while giving back to our great community!

The job: Post up along the race course, help keep runners safe from traffic, and of course, cheer them on! That's it. No experience needed (16+), just show up with the energy our runners need to keep them going!

The fundraiser: Bring a group of 10+ volunteers, and we'll donate $10 per volunteer directly to your organization. The more you bring, the more you raise.

Who's eligible: Churches, schools, scouts, nonprofits, rescue orgs, JROTC — if your group can rally 10+ people, you qualify! Feel free to message us for more information.

From a historic vote to kickoff: Girls high school flag football is officially LIVE in Kansas!

We still remember the incredible momentum from that initial vote, sparked by critical conversations with the Kansas City Chiefs back in 2024 and built through our collaborative stakeholder symposium. Today, that vision is a reality on the field.

The inaugural sanctioned season is officially underway, and seeing the next generation of female athletes make history this month is exactly why we do what we do. A massive thank you to the Chiefs, the Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA), and our local school districts for being tireless champions for this sport.

This isn't just a win for the record books; it’s a massive win for young women and youth sports across the state. We are incredibly proud of our role in this journey and can't wait to watch these athletes continue to dominate the field all season long. 🙌

WSU fan, Maddox Topliff, promised to name his cat after Dillon Battie if he stayed with the Shockers. 🌾

Battie ended up staying, and the fan followed through! Yesterday, "Little Dillon" and Battie finally met, with Little Dillon sporting the collar Battie had already bought him. 🐈‍⬛

🏈 FROM MULVANE TO THE NFL! 🏈

Huge congrats to Jayden Price, who officially made the New Orleans Saints' 53-man roster for the 2026 season!

The Mulvane High School legend put up video-game numbers at QB back in the day (over 7,800 total yards and 101 TDs!) before transitioning to cornerback at North Dakota State. After going undrafted in 2024 and grinding through stops with the Falcons, the CFL, and the UFL, Price signed with the Saints and spent all of 2025 on the practice squad.

This preseason, he made it impossible to keep off the roster! Saints head coach Kellen Moore said: "He’s a great example of earning more opportunities through training camp, and he has certainly done that.”

Price joins fellow Wichita-area products Breece Hall (Wichita Northwest) and Ben Powers (Kapaun Mt. Carmel) on active NFL rosters this season, proof that the 316 produces serious talent. 🔥

Congrats, JP! Wichita will be rooting for you all season long!
