Mark your calendars for March 16-17, 2027 and March 14-15, 2028 🏀 After recently being recognized as the Best Sports-Host City in the country, we’re excited Wichita has been selected to host the opening rounds of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament at INTRUST Bank Arena.

Congratulations to Wichita State, Visit Wichita, INTRUST Bank Arena, and all partners whose teamwork continues to bring these incredible opportunities to our community. These events showcase our city on a national stage while welcoming thousands of student-athletes, coaches, families, and fans who support our local businesses.

The excitement doesn’t stop there. Wichita is currently hosting two major national championships:

⚽ The 2026 US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup July 7-11 at SCHEELS Stryker Sports Complex, where 104 of the nation’s top boys’ and girls’ teams are competing. Wichita is the first city ever chosen to host this event three consecutive years.

🏸 The 2026 Yonex USA Badminton Junior National Championships July 8-14 at Edge Sports Complex, the first badminton national championship ever held in Kansas.

🏀 In 2028, the Wichita region will host all classes of Kansas State High School Activities Association State Basketball Championships, marking the first time since 1945 that all state championship games will be this close in proximity.

The United States Youth Soccer (US Youth Soccer) National Presidents Cup is underway at SCHEELS Stryker Sports Complex, bringing together the nation's top boys and girls teams (13U–19U) for five days of incredible competition. Group play continues through today before the tournament moves into the semifinals and championship matches.
