Watching Christy’s journey has been such a joy. From the beginning, we’ve seen her work through self-doubt, and now she jumps into every challenge, takes the optional layers, and isn’t afraid to try something new (even if the commentary is still sometimes under her breath 😂). The strength she’s built goes far beyond the physical, and it’s been incredible to watch her believe in herself more and more each week.

Q: Why did you join BODYBAR?
A: I was searching for a new community and a new tribe… and I found it.

Q: Tell us about yourself!
A: I may seem quiet at first, but anyone who truly knows me will tell you I’m anything but. I live my life one day at a time, taking nothing for granted, and showing up as myself no matter the moment. Kindness and support are two things I try to pass along wherever I go. My weight‑loss journey has been a long one—I’ve lost over 150 pounds—and BODYBAR has become a huge part of that story. I love this place, and I’m excited for whatever the next chapter looks like.

Q: What’s your favorite class type and why?
A: Favorite Class Type: Classic—though honestly, I love them all

Q: Is there an exercise that was challenging for you at first, but you are more confident in doing now?
A: When I first began, I couldn’t even get onto the foot plate without assistance. Now I hop on confidently and can complete most of the exercises on top. That progress means everything.

Q: How has your life changed since doing Pilates?
A: Pilates taught me to slow down and see life differently. It’s not just about losing weight or getting stronger. It’s about seeing the cup as half full and using what you have to fill others up. It’s been truly life‑changing.

Q: How have our instructors contributed to your progress since starting at BODYBAR?
A: Every single instructor has played a part in my journey. They’ve motivated me, encouraged me, and helped me realize I’m worth the investment. They’ve shown me how good it feels to lift each other up. They’re all superstars in my eyes.
