Congratulations to AVA athlete and recent graduate Scotlyn Gardiner on her commitment to continue her academic and volleyball career at Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa!

Scotlyn has been part of the AVA family since 2022 and has put in countless hours developing her game. From club practices to individual lessons with Coach Shane, she has embraced every opportunity to learn and improve. Her volleyball IQ, work ethic, and coachability have grown tremendously through her dedication to the process.

More importantly, we're proud of the person Scotlyn has become. She leads with dedication, humility, and a commitment to getting better every day—qualities that will serve her well at the next level.

We can't wait to see everyone at tryouts! Here are a few tips to help make the day a success:

✅ Register online before you arrive to save time at check-in.
✅ Arrive 15–20 minutes early to check in and get warmed up.
✅ Play with confidence—trust your training, communicate, and have fun!
✅ Be yourself! Our coaches are looking for athletes with great attitudes, effort, and coachability.

We're excited to have Coach Shane leading both our 14-1 and 18-1 teams this season!

Coach Shane founded Alpha Volleyball Academy in 2019 with a vision of providing athletes with high-level training and purposeful coaching. Over the past 20+ years, he has mentored, developed, and coached hundreds of athletes, helping many continue their volleyball careers at the collegiate level and inspiring others to become coaches themselves. Known for his detailed skill instruction and high standards, Coach Shane is passionate about helping athletes reach their full potential—both on and off the court.

We're excited to see Coach Shane continue leading our athletes and coaches this season!

Next in our coaching lineup is Coach Marie Standfast!

Marie is entering her third season with AVA and loves watching her athletes grow in both skill and confidence throughout the season. With experience coaching multiple age groups, she's excited to lead our 13-2 team this year.

We're excited to have Coach Wesley back in the gym this season leading our 13-1 team!

After a standout career at Kapaun Mt. Carmel, Wesley went on to play NCAA Division I volleyball at the University of Tulsa. Since joining the AVA coaching staff in 2020, she has led several successful teams and continues to make a positive impact on our athletes.

With her playing experience and years of coaching success, Coach Wesley is ready to lead another competitive 13-1 team this season! 🏐
