🏉🏈 RUGBY PLAYERS MAKE GREAT FOOTBALL PLAYERS!

There’s something special about watching our Barbos take what they learn on the rugby pitch and bring it to the football field. Rugby builds toughness, endurance, footwork, tackling skills, field awareness, decision-making, and the ability to play through pressure—all skills that translate incredibly well to football.

Playing both sports makes these athletes better competitors, better teammates, and well-rounded athletes. We love seeing our guys represent their schools on Friday nights after putting in the work with us on the rugby pitch!

A special shoutout to our Wichita Barbarians who are doing both this season. We are incredibly proud of you and all the work you’ve put in!

💪 Check out these Andover Barbos who are crushing the weight room. Pete Vega, Jeremiah Guillott, Nas Williams, Valon Law and JJ Remy. 💪

Go represent, boys! 🖤💛
Good luck this football season! We’ll be cheering you on!

This weekend, the Wichita Barbos sent 6 players and 1 coach to Salt Lake City to represent the Gorilla Rugby Academy at the NAI 7’s Tournament. 🦍🩷🏉

⚫️ 3 Barbos competed with the U18 Elite squad.
🟡 3 Barbos competed with the U16 Elite squad.
⚫️ 1 Barbos coach served as an assistant coach for the U16 Elite team.

The U18s battled through one of the toughest fields in the country, finishing 1-4. The record doesn’t tell the whole story—every match was another opportunity to compete, learn, and get better.

The U16s answered the challenge, finishing 5th in the nation with a 4-2 record, proving they belong among the country’s best.

This is what Barbos rugby is all about—stepping onto the biggest stages, embracing the grind, and never backing down. Every rep, every tackle, every match makes us stronger.

Proud of these players and coaches for representing Wichita with grit, toughness, and relentless effort. The future of Barbos rugby is bright. Onward. 🖤💛

Rugby isn’t built on talent alone. It’s built on grit, sacrifice, and leaders willing to put the club before themselves.

Behind every practice, every match, every road trip, and every opportunity our players get is a coach putting in countless hours that no one ever sees—the planning, scheduling, phone calls, problem-solving, and time sacrificed away from work and family.

Today we finally had the honor of presenting our Head Coach, PaulYeni Enegren with his paver. It’s a small token of appreciation that could never truly repay everything he’s poured into the Wichita Barbarians, but it’s a permanent reminder of the legacy he’s building.

You don’t build a tough rugby culture by accident. You build it with leaders who show up every day, do the hard work, and refuse to quit.

Thank you, Coach Paul, for leading from the front and setting the standard. The Barbos are stronger because of you.

Five Wichita HS Rugby players. One Coach. One mission.

Our boys earned the honor of representing Kansas in the Kansas vs. Missouri All-Star Match—and they made sure everyone knew who owned the border.

The Blue Team handled business and brought home the win. 67-8 was the last known score. 💪🔥

Sal, Nas, Aaron, Jeremiah and Blake- and Coach Paul- who was selected as one of the coaches -we are proud of you athletes for representing Wichita with grit, physicality, and pride. Keep raising the standard. 🏉💙

🏆 Bloodfest 7’s Champions! 🏆

Our boys came to Austin hungry and are headed home with the Bloodfest 7’s High School Division Championship Trophy!

A huge thank you to Coach Josh and men’s player Varun for making the trip, driving, and coaching the team all weekend. Special thanks to Coach Josh’s wife for clearing his calendar and helping make this opportunity possible.
