Equinox reflections 🍂
With this seasonal threshold, let’s not miss the invitation to pause, reflect, and integrate.
Equinox means equal night.
Equal. Equanimous. Balanced.
Today, we are held in nearly equal measures of light and dark. And from here, the earth begins to tilt us toward more darkness. Our yang begins to fold toward yin.
Feel into gratitude for what has come in the season behind you — even the hard things. Maybe especially the hard things.
There is hard-earned wisdom there. Strength. Medicine. Little jewels hidden inside the experiences that stretched us.
Harvest them.
Then, feel gratitude for now. For the abundance of this exact moment. Be with the day- this glorious, sunshine-filled Montana fall day. Let your senses open completely.
And finally, gratitude — and acceptance — for all that is still to come.
Imagine yourself as a colorful, grounded tree beginning to release her leaves.
This is you. Shedding what has already lived its season and opening into the possibility of what’s next.
As we move toward the darker days and the slower, more inward season of yin, notice the transition in your own body.
Maybe you need a little more rest, more quiet, more honesty. Let yourself have it.
This is yin season.
Be gentle with your own heart,
🍂🤎
