An immaculate inning is one of baseball’s rarest pitching feats: 9 pitches. 3 batters. 3 strikeouts. So when an article like the one below highlights the accomplishment, it’s certainly worth celebrating.

But there’s just one problem…

BMBL's own Yulkin German did it 𝗧𝗪𝗜𝗖𝗘… 𝗜𝗡 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞.

The 3-time BMBL Cy Young winner first pulled off the feat in the final frame of the Boston Cardinals’ 13-1 mercy-rule victory over the Rockies on 8/14.

Then, exactly one week later, German did it 𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗜𝗡 — taking the mound for the final inning of the Cardinals’ 3-1 victory over Somerville on 8/21, and once again needing just 9 pitches to strike out all three batters.

Two immaculate innings. Seven days apart. 18 pitches. 6 strikeouts.

The 5th no-hitter of the 2026 season is officially in the books! 🔥⚾

Bob Cutting of the Cambridge Nine etched his name into the record books this past Thursday in Game 1 of a DH against the Natick Pirates in 45+ Division action.

In a game scheduled for 5 innings, Cutting tossed 5 scoreless, allowing ZERO hits while striking out 5 in a dominant performance on the mound. 💪

The Cambridge Nine swept the DH and have moved into 4th place in the division with 1 game left in the regular season.

Last night’s Oldtime Baseball Game at St. Peter’s Field supported Boston Home and individuals living with multiple sclerosis. Along with Red Sox legends Manny Delcarmen, Rich Hill, Lou Merloni, and Jake Peavy, many BMBL veterans took the field, umpired, and helped make the night a success. See who you recognize!
