Max Weiland Racing

Max Weiland Racing Max is a 15 yr old American entering his 6th season of racing. Incoming Freshman this August St Edward HS.

Running the FIA, Champions of the Future and WSK Championships overseas with the Kart Republic Team and when we can SKUSA, USPKS and STARS at home. Max Weiland is a 11-year old racing driver with Magik Kart USA. He is affiliated with Checkered Motorsports, Electronic Merchant Systems, EMS Race Team, Ferrari of San Francisco and B.R.M Chronographes. Max started his career in racing as an 8-year old winning one of two races he entered that year before a brief retirement. In 2021, as a 10-year old, Max returned to the sport to run what was only his first full season of competition heading into this year. In 2021, he netted several wins and podiums while competing in tough local, regional and national events throughout the year. We are running a full regional and national schedule in 2022. Max has also done a week of training in Italy with the CRG team. Our goal is to keep improving and keep enjoying the racing and the camaraderie with our fellow racers and families and see where that takes us.

We are in Sarno, IT this week with the Champions of the future Series at the Circuito Internazionale Napoli. Max qualified our Kart Republic well today and we go racing Friday and Saturday. Go Max!

After difficult circumstances and some bad luck in the Heats on Saturday Max ran very well on Sunday in the United States Pro Kart Series. Started our Kart Republic Mpg motorsports KA Sr P19 in the 43 kart field and ran all the way up to P7 before a kart from behind crashed into him and put us in the wall on the final lap. In X30 Pro started P14 and raced up to a dead heat for P5 just 1.6 seconds away from the win. A very questionable penalty as a result of a last lap pass by us knocked us back 3 spots in the final order but nevertheless great pace throughout both 22 lappers. Thanks to Precision Works Racing Engines for the strong power and Joe, Harrison and Anthony for the support. Next race is Champions of the future at the Circuito Internazionale Napoli in September.

Not everything we were striving for in the United States Pro Kart Series Round 2 but it is always nice to be on the podium, that is for sure. 8 to 6 in the KA Sr Final and 2 to 1 to 3 to 10 en route to a P3 in Pro X30. Other highlights included locking out the front row for the Pro X30 Final with our MPG teammate John Antonino Racing and racing with Aj Myers in KA. Like to thank Mpg motorsports, Kart Republic and Precision Works Racing Engines for some very fast go karts and awesome power along with mechanics Marcelo and Nohuel and coach Conrad Grunewald. Next two events will be the Stars Championship Series at Motorsports Country Club of Cincinnati July 10-12 and then off to Kristianstad, Sweden for the Champions of the future and FIA Karting Championship events.

A good day of racing yesterday with our Mpg motorsports Kart Republic Team in the United States Pro Kart Series. P3 in the KA Sr SuperHeat by a whisker and P1 in the Pro X30 SuperHeat. A good day of Practice in the rain in yesterday's sessions as we had P1's in both classes with our Mpg motorsports Team here in the United States Pro Kart Series. Qualified 14 of 53 in KA Sr as heavier rain in our group made it an uphill fight and P3 in X30 Pro. KA Sr Split Field Heats go at 10:07 and 12:10 ET with the SuperHeat at either 3:17 or 3:36. X30 Pro goes at 11:08/2:10 with SuperHeat at 4:51. Catch the broadcast live on Kart Chaser. Go Max!
