Being the person everyone can count on is valuable.
But as your career grows, people also need to understand how you think.
Do they see your judgment?
Your ability to anticipate problems?
The questions you ask?
The connections you make?
Your strategic contribution can remain invisible if you only communicate the finished work.
This week, look for one opportunity to make your thinking more visible.

A deadline is not the same thing as a career direction.
You can set a date for a promotion, job change, or career move without being clear about what you actually want.
Before you add more goals to your calendar, ask yourself:
What would meaningful career growth look like for me right now?
More scope?
More influence?
A new role?
A different environment?
Finish this sentence:
By the end of this year, I want to be closer to ______.
The clearer you are about the destination, the easier it becomes to decide what deserves your attention.

Your calendar reveals more than your schedule.
It shows what gets protected, what gets postponed, and what consistently receives your attention.
Take a look at this week.
Does the way you used your time reflect what you say matters most?
Choose one priority that needs protected time next week and put it on the calendar before something else takes its place.

September can pull us quickly back into motion.
Before you fill your calendar again, think about what became clearer when you had some space this summer.
What did you notice?
What no longer fits?
What deserves your attention now?
The goal is not to rush back into a busier routine. It is to use what you learned to make more intentional choices.
What did your pause show you that you do not want to ignore?

Before you rush into September, take a moment to pause.
Summer can shift your capacity, your priorities, and your energy.
Instead of forcing yourself into the next season without reflection, ask:
What drained me?
What restored me?
What needs to change before I move forward?
Strong leaders know when to pause, reflect, and adjust.

There are times when waiting is wise.
But there are also times when waiting becomes a quiet way of staying stuck.
If you have been circling the same decision for weeks, take a moment to ask:
What information do I still need?
What is actually in my control?
Am I waiting for clarity, or avoiding the next step?
You do not need perfect clarity to move forward with wisdom.

When pressure rises, your first response may not be your wisest response.

That is why the pause matters.

It gives you space to think, breathe, and choose how you want to show up.

You do not have to respond to everything at the speed it arrives.

Before you react this week, ask yourself:

What response reflects the leader I want to be?

08/06/2026

Before you say yes to one more thing, take a moment to pause.

Many high achievers say yes because they care, want to help, and do not want to disappoint anyone.

But over time, too many yeses can pull you away from the work that actually needs your leadership.

This week, ask yourself:
Does this support the leader I am becoming, or does it only add more weight to my week?

Transformation does not usually begin with a milestone.
It begins with a decision.

That is the heart of Decide to Be Your Future Self.

You do not need permission, a title, or complete certainty to begin becoming the woman you are called to become. You need a decision, and then the willingness to act in alignment with that decision today.

So ask yourself:
Who is my future self?
What would she do with the next hour I have?
