Here at Water Wonders our mission is to help people of all ages and abilities develop the confidence needed to enjoy being in the water. We do this by giving students the safety and freedom they need to explore and learn, in the water, on their own terms. In doing this we develop safe, effective stokes, dissolve fears, and help lifelong swimmer emerge!

Prevention is key🔐⁣

🔑A child can drown in as little as 1-2 inches of water. Removing toys, draining kiddie pools and tubs, and having barriers and alarms is critical in water safety. ⁣
⁣
⚓️LIFEJACKETS! In open water, regardless of swimming ability, everyone should wear a life jacket. This applies to boats, kayaks, paddle boards, etc. ⁣
⁣
🛟 The best life jacket you can use is a US Coast Guard approved life vest. Avoid items with arm attachments, as these can hinder mobility. ⁣
⁣
⛵️While some, such as Puddle Jumpers or this style, may be USCG approved, they should 𝙉𝙊𝙏 be used in place of a lifejacket. ⁣
⁣
👀If a child goes missing, check the nearest body of water first! Pools, ponds, rivers, tubs, etc. Drowning is silent, so while it may be nearby, you likely won’t be able to hear anything.
