Midtown Stomp is Sacramento’s premier swing dancing and Lindy Hop venue, and one of the largest swing dances on the West Coast. Each Friday night hundreds of people of all ages and walks of life join us for an evening of music and dancing that you have to see to believe.

Want to learn something cool? We're teaching a beginning swing dance class for people of any experience level! Never been swing dancing before? This is the perfect place to get started. We'll work on all of the basics that you need for leading, following, rhythm, turning and taking your first steps of partner dancing. With plenty of time to practice and get the basic steps you're sure to have a great time. The class is social and will rotate partners, but if you come with a partner and do not wish to rotate, that's OK too. Class will be from 1-4pm on Saturday, September 19th. We'll see you on the dance floor!

NEW YEAR'S EVE? NEW YEAR'S DAY? HELP!*

New Year's Eve is a Thursday. New Year's Day is a Friday. Here's what we could do:

1. A New Year's Eve Party only. We'd skip the 1st and just swing out on a Thursday night.

2. New Year's Day only. It's a Friday, you know what to do.

3. Both: We could do both New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

4. You're not going to come to either dance because you're out of town or you're super lame* and don't dance anymore. But you still want to vote.
