It is with profound sadness that the PBCYFL family mourns the unexpected passing of Patti Thornton.

Patti faithfully served our league as a Cheer DVP, cheer coach, and member of our Board of Directors. Through each of these roles, she dedicated her time, love, and energy to our athletes and made a lasting impact on countless children and families within our organization.

Patti’s personal motto was, “Do everything out of love, not out of responsibility.” That is exactly how she lived and served—with love. ❤️

Please join us in keeping Patti’s daughter, Skyla, and their entire family lifted in prayer during this incredibly difficult time.

Once part of the PBCYFL family, always part of the PBCYFL family. Patti will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. 🕊️

Due to the significant lightning in our area, which is forecasted to continue for the next several hours, we have unfortunately made the decision to cancel the remainder of today’s Kickoff Classic festivities.
We know this is disappointing, especially after everyone put so much time and effort into making today happen, but the safety of our players, cheerleaders, families, coaches, volunteers and staff will always come first.
