Get Creative with CLAY this Fall!

Our first Clay Creations workshop is coming up Saturday, September 26, and we’re kicking things off with PUMPKINS! 🎃

Kids ages 6–16 will shape, sculpt and glaze their very own clay creation while learning fun techniques like pinching, rolling, slipping and scoring. Once their masterpiece is complete, we’ll fire it in the kiln and let you know when it’s ready to take home!

Facility Update!

Our lighting upgrades are officially complete at Rustad Recreation Center! The playground will reopen today, September 17, at 11:00 AM.

Open Gym is back tomorrow, September 18! While we originally planned for no Open Gym all week, we’re excited to be able to bring it back sooner than expected.

Thank you for your patience while we completed these upgrades!

☕ALERT:

The West Fargo Police Department’s Coffee with a Cop will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, in the Harvest Room at the Rustad Recreation Center in West Fargo (601 26th Ave. E.) with a guest speaker from the department’s Less Lethal Training Team.

The Coffee with a Cop program aims to foster positive relationships between residents and law enforcement. These events offer residents the opportunity to learn more about law enforcement and engage directly with officers in an informal setting.

This event is proudly sponsored by the Community Outreach Programs and Services (COPS) Unit. The COPS Unit plays a pivotal role in the department’s continued efforts to acknowledge West Fargo’s changing demographics and build stronger connections throughout the community.

These efforts include community events, officers dedicated to the COPS Unit and the completion of cultural awareness and diversity training for staff.

Starting Monday, September 14, we’ll begin a lighting improvement project at Rustad Recreation Center. We’re replacing the lights throughout the gyms and playground to create a brighter, better experience for everyone!

What to expect:
There will be no Open Gym this week, and there may be additional unexpected closures as work progresses.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while we complete these improvements. We’re excited to light up Rustad! 💡

Learn to Skate registration is OPEN for ages 3 through Adult! Whether you’re taking your very first steps on the ice or building toward more advanced skills, this progressive program focuses on Agility, Balance, Coordination, and Speed while developing skating fundamentals like edge work, forward and backward skating, balance, and more.

📅 Sessions begin Wednesday, September 23 and/or Saturday, September 26
