Last night I did NOT feel like cooking dinner.
It was a long week, we had to go to Sam's club after a full day of work, I had only slept for about 4 hours the night before...there were soooo many reasons why I could have just ordered food instead of cooking.
But as I huffed and started to pull out some ingredients, I told myself "you'll be thankful you did this tomorrow".
And honestly, I didn't even have to wait until tomorrow.
As dinner was almost done I thought "well that actually wasn't that bad after all".
While I was eating dinner I had no guilt about what I was eating. The food was making me feel good, satisfied, and nourished.
Waking up this morning and looking in the mirror was such a good feeling.
I was SO thankful I ate a healthy dinner last night instead of something else. I wasn't bloated or in a food-induced hangover (sluggish, puffy, stiff, etc). I didn't have to think about what to wear I just put on what I wanted and it looked good.
Is it annoying to put in the extra effort sometimes?
Heck yes.
But is it worth it?

The choice is yours...
Short term satisfaction or long term happiness.
Hell, even short term satisfaction after you just do the dang thing.
Your future self will thank you!
