I LOVE show days!

I love having a goal to work toward. I love the nerves, the preparation, the early mornings, and having “homework” to take back to the barn between competitions. Every show gives me something new to improve, refine, and chase.

There are so many ways to enjoy horses. But for me? Walking into the ring and seeing all that hard work come together never gets old.

This was really easy to stuff and I love all the little holes to fit a variety of shapes and treats for her! It will be fun to bring to away shows as something to keep her busy in her stall too!

When I’m not being overly EXTRA with my snack packing these are my go-to barn snacks:

🍎 Apples (for the kids… and conveniently a horse treat when they’re done)

🥕 Veggie Straws (healthy enough to make me feel like I’m winning, chip-like enough that the kids actually eat them)

🥣 Granola bars (because some days we need at least one easy thing)

The five day countdown to Rogue’s fifth birthday is on-and we have some surprises for her to celebrate with every day!

Day 5: I saw this mini piñata at the dollar store and had to have it! We filled it with some of her favorite treats!

I promise I’m a grown adult who’s been riding horses for over 20 years 😆✨

But I am putting in my formal request to all horse shows to have sparkle ribbons moving forward. Thank you.

Had to give it a try at least!

Give me a tedious task where I can lock in for hours and I’m thriving.

Usually I’ve got a science fiction audiobook or a murder podcast playing in the background, but lately I’ve been on a new mission: learning about finance and stocks.

Because if you’re going to be extra, you’d better have the money to back it up.

Watching your children fall in love with the same place, the same animals, and the same passion that shaped your entire life.
