This was the first time our club has had a tournament on Lake Pierce. Fishing was a bit tough compared to Friday according to those who went early. In first place, Kevin Edwards had 11.48 pounds. he was swimming worms on the grass edges to catch his fish. In second, Steve Mitko had 10.02 pounds with a big fish of 4.20. He was throwing chatter baits in offshore grass to catch his fish. Third place was James Howard with 9.09 pounds. He was throwiing worms in patches of submerged grass to catch his fish.

Harris provided a tough but close day for most of the field. John Guthrie had a 11.23lbs limit to secure 1st place. He was flipping lily pads to catch his fish. In second place, Bob Stringer had 8.87lbs. Bob was throwing moving baits around docks to catch his fish. Third place was Kenny Britt, he was throwing chatter baits and flipping. And our big bass of the tournament was caught by Kevan Brown, weighing 7.69lbs, he was flipping a beaver to catch it.

Winter Haven did not provide the big weights, but the top 3 were still a close finish. In his first tournament since the first one of the year, Kevin Edwards came in first place. Kevin had 10.79 pounds he caught by flipping docks and throwing jerk baits . In second, Darrell "Pickerel" Munday had 10.22 pounds with a 4.05 pound big bass of the tournament. Darrell was finesse fishing docks. In third, John had 9.28 pounds. He was flipping reeds to catch his fish.

Lake Apopka was a tough bite for all this time around. In first place with the only limit of the tournament was Richard Dunham with 12.03lbs and a 4.77 pound big bass of the tournament. He caught his winning bag and big fish on worms and glide baits. In second place was Darrell "Pickerel" Munday, he had 3 fish for 6lbs even. Darrell was throwing spinnerbaits and chatterbaits. In third was John Guthrie, John had 3 fish for 4.68lbs. John caught his fish flipping reeds.
Next stop is the Winter Haven Chain on April 25.
