The wrong clients donāt just drain your energy. They can make you doubt your giftsš
If they arenāt truly aligned with you, it depletes you.
You start feeling drained by your workā¦.and you donāt enjoy it as much.
And when you donāt feel good doing your work, something else can happenā¦
You start questioning the work itself.
You lose a little trust in what you do.
Then you lose a little confidence.
And when you lose confidence, you lose magnetism.
When you lose magnetism, fewer of the right people are drawn towards youā¦.
And then the panic starts.
You need more clientsā¦.
So you start scrabbling around.
You loosen your standards.
You say yes when your body is saying no.
You take the client because you need the money, or because an empty space in your calendar feels scarier than filling it with someone who isnāt quite right.
And because youāre choosing from need, fear and gripā¦
you attract another wrong-fit client.
And the whole bloody cycle begins again!š¤¢
Misaligned clients =depletion =doubt =loss of confidence =less magnetism =fewer aligned clients =more fear =lowering your discernment =more misaligned clients.
This is why discernment and alignment in business is so important.
Sometimes the most powerful thing you can say is:
Iād rather have the space than fill it with the wrong person.
Because that space isnāt empty.
Itās protecting your energy.
Your creativity.
Your joy.
Your belief in your work.
Your capacity to do your absolute best work when the right person arrives.
And perhaps the answer isnāt to become better at attracting clients.
Perhaps sometimes itās becoming much, much better at recognising who/ what you are no longer available forā¦..
Because the right clients donāt make you question your gift.
They remind you just how absolutely f*ing excellent you are at it!!āØ
