Despite some challenging weather conditions Sunday 139 players, including 68 Veterans, joined us to raise over $7,000 for local veterans charities at the 12th annual Veterans Appreciation Golf Outing. A special thank you to the Boy Scouts Troop 90, WSR sophomore vocalist Hayden Van Auken, and the Waverly Honor Guard for being apart of our flag raising ceremony. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Iowa G.I.V.E Foundation, Retrieving Freedom, Americans For Independent Living and the WAVP. Please help us thank and support our local businesses that helped us do some good in our community!

Today our maintenance staff begins the aeration process on our greens. 9 holes will be closed daily for the first part of this week. We are expecting challenging weather conditions so we will share any updates as we have them.

We want to take a second on International Thank A Golf Course Superintendent Day to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our maintenance staff. Led by head Superintendent Chris Miller and assistant Patrick Rinkleff, our maintenance team has navigated a particularly challenging Summer of weather to present a wonderful golf course all season long.
