Bremer County Bucks Rugby Club Competing and promoting the sport of rugby in the Cedar Valley/Waverly area since 1975.

We are currently compete in USA Rugby Division III and are part of the Midwest Rugby Union competing in the Iowa Conference. National Final Runner-Up Division III: 2017

Good evening everyone!

As you settle in for the night, we have a few updates:

1. For those that ordered our UNI Men's Rugby Ball, we apologize for the delay. We have been in contact with the supplier and should be receiving them within the next couple of weeks. We will get them out as soon as possible!

2. Alumni Weekend is October 10! Please mark your calendars as that weekend is also Homecoming. We will be posting more information throughout the next couple of weeks!

3. We begin our preseason with a friendly against UNL Rugby in Lincoln. Match time is 1pm. Location: 3004 Leighton Ave., Lincoln, NE. No pets.

*Plan for traffic as it’s a football game day (9am-11am traffic will be an issue)*

Lastly, this last weekend, after a match between the West Des Moines Wombats and Bremer County Bucks, we had 19 UNI Men's Rugby Alumni/Coaches playing/reffing/spectating for their respective sides. What an honor it is to have former players playing at the next level!

We are excited to begin a new season and look forward to seeing many of you this year!

“Chatting with Chase” is back! Aka Mason, Jason, Case, Jase, Chance and however many other aliases he goes by. 😂 We’re starting to think they’re all part of his strategy as he works on applying for Survivor.

In his first real test of the season, Chase came up with several charge-downs, finished with double-digit tackles and really found his stride.

After last week’s match was canceled, the Bucks are ready to finally get back on the pitch. We’re headed to West Des Moines this Saturday for a must-win matchup against the Wombats.

🚨🚨🚨 MATCH UPDATE 🚨🚨🚨

Unfortunately, Des Moines had to forfeit, so there will be no match this Saturday.

The Bucks will still be getting together Saturday morning for training, followed by a post training social at Grumpy’s Roadhouse around noon.

If any of our fans, friends, family, or supporters want to stop by and meet the 2026–2027 Bucks, you’re more than welcome to come hang out with us!

Huge thank you to Grumpy's Roadhouse for always taking care of the Bucks and giving us the patio for the afternoon.
