🌕 Full Harvest Moon • September 26, 2026

The Harvest Moon rises just days after the autumn equinox, marking that beautiful threshold between seasons. The gardens are giving their last gifts, the evenings are cooling, and the landscape is beginning its slow transformation toward winter.

Unlike the other traditional Full Moon names, Harvest Moon isn’t tied to a particular month. It is the name given to the Full Moon closest to the autumn equinox. Its light was once especially welcome to farmers, extending the hours available to gather crops after sunset.

This year’s Harvest Moon falls in Aries, a sign traditionally associated with courage, independence, action, and new beginnings. Opposite the Sun in Libra, it creates a beautiful seasonal tension between self and relationship, independence and interdependence, what we need for ourselves and what we offer to others.

And what better moon for a harvest?

Harvest is not simply about gathering. It is also about choosing what is worth carrying forward.

As the season turns, perhaps ask:
What have I cultivated that is ready to be gathered—and what am I ready to leave behind?

Step outside tonight. Watch the Moon rise. Notice the cooler air, the changing leaves, the abundance that surrounds you.

And look for Saturn shining nearby—a little celestial companion to this year’s Harvest Moon.

🌿 Moon Ritual: Make a cup of something warm and take a few quiet minutes to reflect on your own harvest. Write down three things you’ve grown, learned, or nurtured this season. Then write one thing you are ready to release.

The harvest reminds us:
Gather what nourishes you.
Give thanks for what has grown.
And leave room for what comes next. 🌾🌕

Introduction to Yogic Philosophy

Yoga is more than the shapes we make with the body.

Long before yoga became something we practiced on a mat, it was a philosophical inquiry into what it means to be human: How do we understand ourselves? Why do we suffer? What keeps us bound? And what might it mean to become truly free?

Join us for an Introduction to Yogic Philosophy, a brief journey through some of the foundational texts and ideas that shaped the yoga tradition.

We’ll trace the evolution of yogic thought through the Vedas, the Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita, and Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, exploring how the questions and teachings of one era grew into the next.

Along the way, we’ll introduce some of the central concepts of yoga philosophy—including dharma, karma, samsara, moksha, the gunas, the kleshas, the nature of the Self, and the path toward liberation.

No prior study of yoga philosophy is necessary. Whether you are a longtime practitioner, a curious beginner, or simply someone who has wondered what yoga is really about, this is an invitation to look beyond the physical practice and into the deeper tradition beneath it.

Yoga is not simply something we do.
It is a way of asking questions.

Come explore some of the questions that have been asked for thousands of years.

Ashtanga is a traditional approach to yoga asana. It uses Breath (pranayama), Posture (asana), and the focus of the Gaze (drishti) to steady the nervous system, direct the flow of energy (prana), and concentrate attention inward.

Nothing fancy, just practice.

🃏 Tarot, practice, and a little bit of magic in good company.
Tarot is a practice you learn by doing — by pulling cards, telling stories, asking questions, getting it wrong sometimes, and learning to trust what you see.
We’ve created a space to do exactly that.
Join us at Aeaea for a casual Tarot Practice Gathering: an opportunity for newer readers to build confidence, practice reading for others, and learn alongside a supportive community. We’ll spend a little time with foundational concepts, then put the cards in our hands and practice together.
Experienced readers are welcome, too. Come to sharpen your own practice, exchange perspectives, offer encouragement, or simply enjoy an evening with other people who love the cards.
No expertise required. No performance expected. No need to have all the answers.
Just bring a deck, some curiosity, and a willingness to explore.
✨ Free to attend. An optional donation will be available for anyone who would like to help us continue offering gatherings like this to our community.
Come pull some cards.
Come practice.
Come learn from one another.🔮

Fall Equinox ✧ September 22, 2026

A moment of sacred balance—
day and night held in equal measure,
light and dark meeting at the threshold of change.

The Fall Equinox marks the turning of the Wheel
from the fullness of summer
toward the quieting of autumn.
The harvest is here.
The gardens begin to empty.
The leaves begin to turn.
The evenings grow longer,
and the world begins its gentle retreat inward.

Often associated with Mabon, this season invites us to honor the gifts of the harvest—
not only what has grown in the fields,
but what has grown within us.

What did you plant this year?
What has come to fruition?
What are you ready to gather,
and what are you ready to release?

This is a time to:
✧ give thanks for abundance
✧ celebrate the fruits of your labor
✧ gather what will sustain you through the darker months
✧ release what no longer needs to be carried
✧ make space for rest, reflection, and renewal

Bring the season indoors.
Gather fallen leaves, acorns, dried flowers,
branches, herbs, and autumn fruits.
Bake something warm.
Share a meal.
Light a candle as evening arrives.
Take a walk beneath the changing trees
and notice what the Earth is teaching you:
Nothing holds its form forever.
The trees do not cling to their leaves.
They release them when the time comes.
Perhaps we can learn to do the same.

At the Spring Equinox, we asked:
What is ready to grow?
Now we ask:
What is ready to be released?
The Wheel turns.
The harvest comes.
The light begins to soften.
And there is beauty here, too.
In the letting go.
In the gathering in.
In learning that endings can also be a kind of abundance.
