Looking for something exciting after MM??

Where will we see you this year and next ?!

Super pumped to be putting together these trail camps and retreats, they’ve been so much fun so far !!!

Just a reminder there is now ONE SPOT LEFT for the Swiss alps trail running retreat next year 😉 who’s gonna take the last one ?

Lastly, we have one more destination in mind for a fall 2027 retreat to add to this list. (Hint hint, not in the US, think big mountains .. EPIC mountains) any guesses ?! 👇🏻

Hello, Mountain People!

The race is quickly approaching and we’d like to clear up some concerns…

Unless you are running for a coveted Woodsman Pal, the Mountain Man Ultra is not about getting from point A to point B the fastest.

But isn’t it a race?

Hear us out…

Mountain Man is about experiencing the mountain. You’ll run through the woods, climb beautiful ridges, navigate Pennsylvania’s classic rocky trails, and spend a day surrounded by nature.

Yes, you will have to run where you can.
Yes, you will still be challenged, and push your limits.

But the Mountain Man is more than a race to the finish. Bring your trail shoes and sense of adventure Saturday, September 26th!!

It’s race month!!

Race day is September 26th! We’re getting ready to finalize our logo for incoming swag and will release details soon.

In the meantime… this race is near and dear to our hearts. It IS a rugged course. It IS challenging. But its rewards know no bounds.

The Mountain Man course is known because of the people who traverse the trails. Each newt counted and stream crossed tells a story beyond the run or hike.

For some, The Mountain Man is just another 50k.
For others, The Mountain Man is their first.
For us, The Mountain Man is more than just a race.

This course originated as Call of the Wilds that took place over Eastern States weekend. It was there that our Race Director first encountered the beast of a course as a leap of faith in his sobriety.

Throughout the years, the race has changed courses and race directors, but one thing has stayed true: our heart.

We can promise an adventure for everyone that toes the line. We hope to promise one that fuels your passion beyond our race, and a spirit that will endure.

Be afraid and do it anyway.

Ft. Layne finishing her first 50k last year!

Hello, Mountain People!!

We are working to finalize swag, aid station food lists, and the behind the scenes work to get you from start to finish.

In the meantime… our GPX file is almost ready for your viewing and downloading pleasure. Taking a peek at the elevation map is getting us excited and hopefully you too!

As always, trail miles are *close-ish* to the mapped.

Next update will include the file ⛰️😊

Happy trails!

One thing that makes a PA Trail Race so special, is the community created within it.

We are so fortunate to bear witness to such a genuine, supportive, and inspiring group of individuals that continue to show up for one another and more.

We show up for you with each flag put up, silly aid station costume, and “you look great” shouted on your exit.

Mountain man is an individual battle fought, with an army of support to push you through.

There’s a month left. Be a part of something awesome!

A 50K can look pretty intimidating on paper.

31 miles?!

Don't think about 31 miles.Think about the next mile. Then the next. Aid station to aid station. Climb to climb.

That's how experienced ultrarunners do it.
And that's how first-time ultrarunners do it too.

Mountain Man gives you 12 hours to complete the course.

We know you’ve been thinking about making the jump to an ultra… why not in the cool air of the first week of fall?

The price increases after tomorrow! Sign up now!!
