Bessie Stringfield (1911–1993) was one of the most remarkable pioneers in American motorcycling. Nicknamed the “Motorcycle Queen of Miami,” she became famous for riding solo across the United States at a time when doing so was extraordinarily difficult for a Black woman.

Dale “Holeshot” Walker is one of the most accomplished racers, tuners, engineers, and educators in the history of motorcycle drag racing. His career spans the transition from the early production-bike era into highly developed Funny Bike, Top Fuel, and Pro Street racing.

On May 21, 2000, Davidson took his 1997 Suzuki Bandit 1200 to Rockingham Dragway in North Carolina and accomplished something that had never been done before: he became the first rider to put a street-legal motorcycle into the seven-second quarter-mile zone. His historic pass was 7.97 seconds at approximately 179 mph.

Sid Pogue was one of the early stars of Pro Stock Motorcycle racing, competing during the formative years when the class was establishing its identity. He was an Oklahoma racer who became particularly associated with Kawasaki Z1/Z1-R machines and was one of the riders who helped push early Pro Stock motorcycles into performance territory that seemed almost unbelievable at the time.

Mike Slowe was a highly accomplished American motorcycle drag racer, particularly prominent in the 2000s and early 2010s. Slowe became one of the dominant riders in the MIROCK/AMA Dragbike scene. He first established himself in the 60-Inch Sport Bike category, winning three consecutive MIROCK championships from 2003 through 2005.
