Husker Racing | Baja SAE

Husker Racing | Baja SAE UNL Baja SAE Baja SAE is an intercollegiate design competition run by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). Before 2007, the events were called "Mini Baja."

Teams of students from universities all over the world design and build small off-road cars. The cars all have engines of the same specifications. As of 2009 the engine has been an unmodified Briggs & Stratton Intek 20 single-cylinder with a displacement of 300cc and power output of approximately 10 bhp (7.5 kW). The goal in Baja SAE racing is to design, build and race off-road vehicles that can withstand the harshest elements of rough terrain. The vehicles used in Baja SAE racing are often similar to dune buggies.

Reflecting on our competition in Oregon! 🏁

We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to compete at Baja SAE Oregon this past summer. Although things didn’t turn out quite as well as we hoped, we learned a lot and are excited to apply those lessons to this years car and come back stronger next season!

We thank everyone who supported us, especially our amazing sponsors! Without their contributions none of what we do would be possible. We truly appreciate your support and look forward to putting what we’ve learned into the upcoming season.

Thank you for helping power our team⚡️

Dearest Gentle Reader,

This seasons most scandalous debut was not a diamond of the ton just, but a humble Baja car.
Miss Herbie, long forced to labor in the shadows of the shop has arrived at the grand ball and she was the most enchanting machine.
Her welds flawless, her suspension divine, and her CVT tuned (a rarity indeed). Though as endurance approached the magic faded. Leaving but only a single wheel hub as proof of her mysterious triumph.
Thus society whispers on, “who is the engineer capable of passing tech inspect in the first attempt?”

Yours Truly,
Lady Baja❤️

Happy national tell a fairy tale day! 🧚📖
We hope y’all live happily ever after, for we have some work to get done. ✅
