Founder Dr. Irvine Nugent grew up in Northern Ireland during years of deep division and later served as a CEO and senior leader himself. His work in Conflict EQ was shaped by lived experience, Ph.D. research on leadership in conflict, and decades of helping leaders navigate moments where tension, emotion, and responsibility collide. Today, Conflict EQ supports leaders across healthcare, financial cooperatives, associations, government, and other relationship-driven organizations who want conflict to become a source of clarity and connection—not quiet damage.
