Had an amazing time at IRONMAN Estonia Tallinn! 🇪🇪
Everywhere I went, I made sure to represent my HBCU with my Oakwood College (now Oakwood University) sweater and represent the US Virgin Islands with my Madras bucket hat. 🇻🇮
Ironman Tallinn is by far the best organized and best executed Ironman branded race I’ve ever experienced. From start to finish, everything was incredibly well done. I can’t hold them responsible for the storm that rolled in but they handled it beautifully.
If I ever repeat an Ironman, this is definitely one I’d come back and do again.

Ironman Tallinn & Ironman Tallinn 70.3

Showed up for Ironman Tallinn only to see a sign saying “onsite registration 70.3”. What else could I do but say “take my money” 😂
Sometimes you’ve got to try something new. Ironman on Saturday (Bib # 1200) followed by 70.3 on Sunday (Bib # 2019). This is going to be interesting.

Finishers of All Ironmans in the World! Excited to be a “JR” member. I’m 37 finishes down with about 19 to go before being a full member. Looking forward to adding the US Virgin Islands 🇻🇮 flag to the club shirt.

The great thing about new Ironman races is that they give me a chance to hang out with and be inspired by the Finishers of All Ironman in the World. I just need about 19 more finishes to make it in the club. Also got to race with Angie and Charles and of course Tony was the announcer. You know I’ve got to hit up Waffle House whenever I get a chance.

Medal Monday. 🏅
IRONMAN Jacksonville is in the books making it Ironman finish #37.
Florida officially owes me:
• Two inner tubes
• One tire
• One pair of flip-flops 😅
Three flats in the first 30 miles completely changed the dynamic of the race. After the 3rd flat, I resigned myself to the unmistakable truth that today just wasn’t my day. Huge shoutout to the mechanic who pulled up with an entire tire and got me back on the road again. He helped me with the first flat, so when he saw me again he was like “this really isn’t your day 😂”.
Also grateful for all the volunteers who kept me company while I waited for assistance. You all made those rough stretches a little easier.

The Florida heat was so intense that my flipflops actually melted in my morning clothes bag. So I’m adding that to the invoice too. 😂
Big shoutout to for spectating, supporting, and documenting the journey, the life of a “spec-athlete” is a real one. ❤️
Now it’s time to rest, recover, and get ready for the next one. Gotta Race ‘Em All!

Easter morning miles at Oakwood University!
The beautiful campus was glowing in the early morning light as we navigated the course of an incredible OU5K at the 130th Alumni Homecoming. A special shoutout to President Dr. Gina Brown for welcoming runners and getting the race underway!
Impact Update: We added $2,000 to our mission, bringing our total impact to $32,000 for the year!  From DC to Huntsville, the running community is showing up in a big way.
