First and foremost, thank you to Mama Sylvia, Director of Coyaba Dance Theatre for her incredible leadership and dedication to Dance Africa DC for more than 20 years.
DC Casineros has been honored to be part of this beautiful festival and community for nearly two decades. It is always a privilege to share Cuban popular and Afro-Cuban dance traditions alongside so many amazing artists and cultural organizations.
A heartfelt thank you to Dance Place for continuing to provide a home for Dance Africa and for supporting spaces where social and community-based dance traditions can thrive.
Thank you to everyone who attended our workshops and performances this past Saturday. Your energy, enthusiasm, and love for the culture make this festival so special.
We're grateful to be part of a community that continues to celebrate the richness of the African Diaspora through music, dance, history, and culture.
