Congratulations Coach!!

Congratulations to Coach Frank Rhodes and the Columbus Mystic on an extraordinary inaugural season in the American Women’s Football League!

Building a successful program from the ground up is never easy, but Coach Rhodes established a culture centered on leadership, discipline, preparation, accountability, and excellence. From the beginning of the season, the Columbus Mystic demonstrated that they were prepared to compete at the highest level and make an immediate impact throughout the AWFL. The Columbus Mystic completed their inaugural 2026 season with an outstanding 7–1 record, while establishing themselves as one of the league’s most dominant and complete teams.

Their success was no accident. It was the result of dedicated athletes, committed coaches, strong organizational leadership, countless hours of preparation, and a team that fully believed in the vision. The Columbus Mystic competed with confidence, represented their organization professionally, and established a championship level standard during their very first season.

Coach Rhodes’ leadership and the remarkable performance of the Columbus Mystic earned respect throughout the league. Being recognized as the 2026 AWFL Coach of the Year is a well-deserved honor and a reflection of the preparation, commitment, leadership, and winning culture he brought to Columbus.
Congratulations again to Coach Frank Rhodes, the Columbus Mystic coaching staff, players, ownership, and supporters on an unforgettable inaugural season. Finishing 7–1 with the AWFL’s #1 offense and a historic defense that did not allow a single point during the regular season is an incredible accomplishment.
