Lucas’ parents both came to watch the team race together in a day filled with attempt after attempt. They remained calm and steady, trusting each other up to the final sprint where Lucas did what he does best.

When asked what it means for Bourgoyne to be returning to the squad that started at all, here is what he had to say, “I’m pumped to be back, and flying under the same colors for another season. It was a pretty insane 2025, and I’m forever grateful to my family & who allowed me to chase my crazy dreams. We took a different look at crits in 2025, and in 2026 we’re here to make that statement. It’s been absolutely incredible to see all the outpouring of support from the community and sponsors. Sometimes I think I’m gonna get pinched and wake up from this dream, but until that day comes, I’m gonna soak up every minute of this crazy adventure.” -
