In addition to our August 16 auditions at both our Falls Church and North Bethesda locations, students can also audition in class throughout our Summer Intensives with CityDance faculty and renowned guest artists, including Koresh Dance Company, Nadedja Pavlenko, Adrienne Canterna, and Kareem Goodwin.

New this year! Pre-Conservatory Preparatory Program (Age 8)

For our youngest dancers, CityDance Conservatory offers a one-year Preparatory Program (Age 8)— a dedicated entry point for dancers age 8 passionate about pursuing dance at a high level. Designed to build confidence, foundational technique, and a love of movement, the Preparatory Program prepares students for potential advancement into our Pre-Conservatory Program.

Auditions for CityDance Conservatory's 2026–27 School Year Programs are now open!

We have two upcoming auditions for students Aged 8 - 18 interested in School Year Programming at either of our locations. Both auditions are open to all of our programs and locations, so students can attend whichever location works best for them. We're thrilled to share an exciting update from Conservatory alumnus, Simon Tischler. Simon will be joining the Stuttgart Ballet Company during their upcoming season.

Simon has been dancing with the John Cranko School since last season, where he has already performed with the Stuttgart Ballet in John Neumeier's Anna Karenina, Edward Clug's The Nutcracker, and Marcia Haydée's Sleeping Beauty — all while continuing his studies and performances at the school.

This is a remarkable trajectory, and a testament to Simon's artistry, work ethic, and dedication. Congratulations, Simon — we couldn't be more proud to celebrate this next chapter with you!
