🚨Medal Monday Alert! 🚨 🥇🥈🥉

Andy gave a good effort at the North East Olympic Aquabike on Sunday. Despite a tough swim, he clawed back time on the rolling bike course

Frederic participated in the Blue Ridge Gran Fondo and finished mid pack despite having to chase back onto the pack after a mechanical and bee sting

The summer isn’t over yet! ☀️

So very proud of Nikki as she completed her first ever 5k! It was a great first experience all-around, complete with an intro to “Type 2 fun.” 🤩

Laura P raced the MD Heat 50k however missed the 2nd lap cutoff by a few minutes. The weather and terrain combo bested quite a few participants

Andy took a rain check on Luray due to forecasted thunderstorms, but stay tuned for the pivot!

Mid summer racing is in full swing! Three athletes are taking part in three different events

Andy’s season debut comes late this season at the Luray Olympic Aquabike. The beautiful scenery will make up for all those hills

Nikki is stepping up to her first ever starting line at the Tunnel to Tower 5k - Central NY. I’m proud of the result already

Laura P is starting her first 50k for …a while… at the Maryland Heat 50k

Good luck and have fun!!

Coach Joanne is back from a mid-season break and a slew of updates about some great results over the past few weeks!

Karen and Kate competed in the Culpeper Sprint & Olympic Triathlons, respectively. Karen had a strong performance on a hilly course and came away with 5th AG. Kate powered over the hills to take 1st AG!

Mary hopped into the Dragon Fly Sprint Triathlon in Mississippi at the last minute and had a great time racing at a new (to her) venue

David & Mary raced open water at the DCAC OWS 5k & 2.5k, respectively. This was just the warmup for their next event

The Casco Bay SwimRun was a smashing success for Mary and her partner, Lauren, as they took 4th in the women’s team event for the Sprint distance

Michelle entered the Great Loon Triathlon in Maine and had a day full of fun, including a “typical Maine trail run”

Congratulations and well done!

Mary is hopping into the Fore Fly Sprint Triathlon in Mississippi on a whim! It will be a good, high intensity training session with a bunch of new friends

Good luck & have fun!

It was a tough weekend at the office for the athletes who traveled north to compete in their respective races. Long course racing can be so unpredictable and present challenges at every moment

John was unable to complete the Vermont 100, however did manage to cover the longest distance on foot that’s he’s ever completed. A cold, rainy night got the best of him in the end, though reports were that he was looking strong through the halfway mark

Chong finished his first Ironman at Lake Placid! His bike gearing threw him a wrench but once that was sorted out, he had a steady and well-fueled race. Pictured below is his SIL cheering him up the infamous Papa Bear climb!

Becca was having a strong, well-paced race until another racer crashed into her at a bike aid station. The time loss, equipment damage, and cold rain on the run proved to be too much to overcome this time around

Before the race, Becca so thoughtfully expressed that it’s not the race that changes you, but rather the preparation. I have found this to be true on so many occasions. It’s the process and the love of sport that makes the lasting mark, regardless of the outcome. Sometimes failure is our best teacher and propels more growth than our successes

Dust yourself off and try again 🎶

Three athletes are headed north to the mountains to tackle their A-races this season!

John is taking on the Vermont 100 in some of the most beautiful backcountry trails on the east coast

Becca and Chong are going to tame the daunting Adirondacks at Ironman Lake Placid, for both their first attempt at the distance

Have fun, stay present, and it’s time to shine!✨

TBT last weekend!

🚨Medal Monday Alert! 🚨 🥇🥈🥉
Nicole flew through 50 miles at the Kent Island Bikes And Beers event. A steady but determined effort helped her sail through the Eastern Shore faster than ever

Adam stepped up to the starting line at Ruidoso 70.3 in New Mexico. This was not a PR course thanks to the starting elevation (6700’) and an elevation gain of 4,000 feet on the bike and 1,000 more on the run. Through all this, Adam demonstrated patience the entire day and let the race come to him instead of chasing pace. In his post-race debriefing, he recounted “collecting bodies” at the end of the bike and run legs, a sure sign that he raced with maturity and not ego

Congratulations to you both for a spectacular weekend of racing!
