I’m just an avg guy who enjoys life, and understands the importance of fitness

Join me as we walk, talk, move and groove as a community.

Or workout in the gym as we move into a mental and physical state of fitness. All it takes is the will to be better!

“That’s some bullsh*t.”

And she knew it. 😂😂😂😂

Here is a small snippet of a 30 min set.

As I’ve told many folks before, this fitness training thing isn’t always a smooth gravy train. It’s never consistent. Yet I really enjoy it. Maybe one day I’ll have my own spot can can have more clients on a consistent basis. Yeah. Let me continue to put that into the atmosphere. 🙏🏽

When my clients are ready for the work, I’m ready to give it. When life gets in the way and they need to take a hiatus, they take it. And I totally understand.

The good thing is, I never burn bridges or sever ties. At least not yet. 😂 So when they’re ready to get back at it, and they ask for it…I give it.

But I’m also gonna let you know when you’re on the bull! 😂😂😂😂😂

She tells me all the time, “I never sweat as much as when I’m with you. I get from for you in 30 mins, than I do in two hours on my own. You always get the most out of me. When can we meet again?”

And honestly? That’s all I need.

Laugh while. Hug it out after I give you that work. Make some plans for the next. And get ready to run it back!

Now…it’s MY time! 💪🏾🔥

Admittedly, I surprised myself!

After not seeing any part of a gym for seven days—and coming off two weekend walks (Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning) totaling 13 miles—I decided to make a post-9 p.m. visit last night and slowly begin shedding some of the gluttony from the “Farber Affairs.” 😂😂😂

I had prepared myself to be perfectly content with 20 minutes on the stairs, followed by some floor and plate work.

Well…

That 20 minutes of stepping turned into 65! 😳

Let this be proof that you have more in your tank than you think. You’ll never know what you’re capable of until you give it a shot!

Sometimes, you just have to show up and let the body remind you what it can do.

Right back at it again!!

When the call/DM/text comes in asking for a Walking and Talking, Moving and Grooving®️ set, I’m more than likely going to respond with:

“Absolutely! Let’s get it! Let me know when and where works best for you.”

What’s even better than that?

Finishing the first four-miler…then linking up for a second four-miler! 👊🏽

As the summer heat slowly simmers down and leads us into autumn and fall, the temperatures will become more comfortable—and the walks even better. That time is coming!

You don’t always need a gym to get a workout in. Walking is free, and you can do it whenever the desire—or the feeling—hits. No worrying about when a facility opens or closes.

And if you walk with someone (Ahem! 👋🏽😊😉), you’ll probably find yourself extending that distance just a little bit more.

All in all, I’m here to assist and help if needed.

Try me!

Now…I chill. Cheers! 🥃

Some scenes change, but some habits remain the same!

AAAAAAAAAH! A lovely gym. All to myself! How lucky am I? 😂

45 minutes on the stairs.

Four cycles of 15 reps each on the Universal.

35-lb long bar stretch.

Four sets of high jumps to pull-ups.

And let me tell you… I questioned myself EVERY jump set.

“Dude, what are you doing? Why are you trying to jump up there? Can you even make it? Don’t mess around and injure yourself!”

There’s only one way to find out, right?

Give it a shot.

Until you try, you’ll never know what you’re capable of.

So I tried.

Four times.

And I succeeded all four times!

That last set was a challenge, though. But I got it done!

Sometimes you just have to get out of your own head and see what happens.

I had a good time yesterday… so today was payback. 😂

When that alarm went off, I wasn’t exactly excited to leave my very comfortable bed, but it wasn’t as bad as I expected.

Walk → Sweat → Home → Shower → Gym → Sweat some more → Shower again → Chill → Sip.

Just another typical weekend for me. No bells. No whistles. No extravagance. Give me a backyard groove, a good pour, a good stick, good people (old and new), great conversations, better laughs, and a few new connections… and life is good.

Yesterday checked every one of those boxes.

Now if somebody would put a plate of oxtails in front of me… we’d really be talking. 😮‍💨

I know… I know… 😆

“Not another long ass message and abbreviated workout clip/post?” is what you’re thinking. 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

Yep! I tried not to. But I can’t help it. It’s import to me, for you. So…sorry/not sorry.

Why? Because many of you have called, texted, and DM’d to say these videos have motivated you to get moving. If they’re helping people improve their health, then mission accomplished.

When I’m not Walking and Talking, Moving and Grooving®️ on Sundays, you’ll usually find me in the gym. But “moving” can be anything—walking, lifting, swimming, biking, dancing, or playing a sport.

I’ll always be an advocate for fitness and improved health by way of. You don’t have to give up the things you enjoy (yes… I’m sippin’ tequila and contemplating a juicy burger as I type this😂). Just make a few better choices and move your body consistently.

Just do something… and keep doing it.

Need a little encouragement? I’m here. Or steal a few ideas from these clips and make them your own.

Your future self will thank you.

👊🏽🙏🏽💪🏽

When I’m not Walking and Talking, Moving and Grooving®️in the streets-I’m in the gym getting it done.

Come join me and let me help you along.

These last sets are always the most disrespectful. 😂

Especially when you’ve got NINE movements involved. Which by the way can cut your workout time down big time.

* Body squats
* Push-ups
* Long bar curls
* Long bar shoulder press
* Front delt dumbbell press
* Rear tricep press
* Delt/shoulder “washers”
* Kettlebell body circles
* Sit-ups

Now do 5 sets of 10 reps each.

Somewhere around movement number seven; at least for me, your body is going to file an official complaint with HR. By movement number eight, you’re asking yourself “So…we’re really doing ALL of this today?” 🤣

It’s one helluva cardio-lift that’ll have your heart pounding, forehead forming sweat beads, and multiple muscles questioning every life decision that brought you to the gym.

Yet, you love it! Especially when you complete the set.

As always, you don’t need heavy weights. Pick a weight that lets you get through clean, controlled reps.

And if you need to stop and catch your breath…do it. Ain’t nobody handing out trophies for passing out between kettlebell body circles and sit-ups. 😂

Just catch your breath, jump back in, finish the work, and enjoy that glorious “I earned this” burn afterward.

Tomorrow morning, however…don’t blame me when you make that old-person noise getting out of bed. You signed up for this. 😆💪

07/26/2026

Okay… let me give myself a little credit.

With all the “adulting” I managed to pack in from Thursday through last night, I had every reason to sleep in today. Honestly, nobody would’ve blamed me… especially me. 😂

Matter of fact, I hit the snooze button three different times before finally having a conversation with myself that went something like…

“Boy… get up.” 😆

So I did.

I got up, got out, and got to Walking and Talking, Moving and Grooving®️ with my fellow Rock Creek Power Walkers.

And as usual… not once did I regret it.

Sometimes the hardest part isn’t the workout. It’s simply making the decision to start. Once you do, your body and mind usually thank you for it.

If you’ve ever thought about joining us, consider this your invitation. Come get some miles, some laughs, some good conversation, and maybe even a little motivation.

And if our route isn’t convenient, in some cases I’ll come to your area so you can introduce me to a new walking route. I’m always up for exploring while putting in the work.

Now go enjoy the rest of your day… and if you haven’t moved yet, there’s still plenty of time. 😉

Some people train for marathons.

I train for tequila. 😂🥃

When you know the day’s going to stretch well into the evening… and the sips are definitely going to happen…

Prepare accordingly.

✔️ Five rounds of 20 reps each:

💪🏽 Push-ups
🦵🏽 Bodyweight squats
🔥 Raised-heel squats

That’s 100 reps of each.

✔️ 30 minutes on the stair climber.

Then… reward the work with one helluva Añejo and Extra Añejo tequila lineup before heading to the game.

Mission complete. 😎🥃
