Leadership Shows Up Everywhere
One of our parents shared something with us that we haven’t stopped thinking about.
Ms. Noelle started our Leadership Program when she was just 8 years old.
One day, after giving a presentation in her 3rd grade classroom, she came home and said:
“Mom, it was really weird today. No one made eye contact while doing their presentations.”
That moment stuck with her mom.
And it stuck with us too.
Because sometimes you don’t realize just how much your child has grown until you see those skills show up outside of martial arts.
In Leadership, we practice things like making eye contact, speaking with confidence, standing tall, communicating clearly, and being comfortable in front of others.
Not just so our students can become better martial artists.
But so when Ms. Noelle has to stand in front of a classroom…
Speak to an adult…
Meet someone new…
Interview for her first job someday…
Or step up and lead others…
She’s already practiced being confident when it counts.
That’s what Leadership is about.
The skills we practice on the mat are meant to show up everywhere else. 🥋
