Coach Boone brings a strong football mind, energy, and a passion for developing players and putting them in position to succeed. Already serving as an offensive coordinator at the high school level, he brings valuable play-calling experience and a fresh approach to the Grit offense. 🧠🏈

As a player who has been in the trenches with the Grit, Coach Boone knows this team, knows our personnel, and understands exactly what this program is capable of. Now he’ll take that experience from the field to the sideline as he takes control of the offense. 💪🔥

We’re excited to see the identity he builds and what this offense can become under his leadership.

Coach Zelle brings proven leadership, a strong football mind, and a passion for developing players and building winning programs. With over a decade of experience leading the Georgia Crush, Coach Zelle brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and leadership to the Grit organization. 🧠🏈

Working alongside Head Coach Chester, Coach Zelle will play a major role in the leadership and direction of our program as we continue building something special and raising the standard in Middle Georgia. 📈

We couldn’t be more excited to add a coach of his caliber to what we’re building. 🤝

The Georgia Grit are proud to announce Coach Sam Chester as our next Head Coach. 🏈

Coach Chester has been a part of this program from the beginning and understands exactly what we expect the Georgia Grit to represent: Discipline, Accountability, Toughness, and a relentless standard of work. 💪🏽

He knows our players, he knows our culture, and he understands where we want this program to go.

Now, he takes the lead. 🫡

As Coach Chester steps into the Head Coach role, the expectation is simple.
Build on the foundation, demand the standard, and keep pushing this program forward.

There’s work to be done. There’s another level to reach. And with unfinished business ahead of us, it’s time to get to work. 🐶

Following recent neck surgeries, Head Coach Dexter Copeland has decided to step away from coaching the Georgia Grit to focus on his health and recovery.

The Georgia Grit would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Coach Copeland and his entire coaching staff for their leadership, dedication, and commitment throughout our inaugural season. Their countless hours of work helped establish the foundation and standard of Georgia Grit Football, and their contributions to this organization will always be appreciated.

We wish Coach Copeland nothing but continued success and good health moving forward. Coach Copeland will always be a part of the Georgia Grit family, and we are grateful for the lasting impact he has had on this organization.

As we move forward, the Georgia Grit will begin the process of determining the future leadership of our football program. More information will be shared at a later time.

Today, our thoughts are with the faculty, staff, students, families, and entire Warner Robins High School community following yesterday’s incident.

To the teachers, administrators, counselors, support staff, and first responders who had to face an unimaginable situation while caring for our kids, thank you.

We are keeping everyone affected in our thoughts and prayers and praying for healing, strength, and peace for our community. 💜💛

Mid-week check in and the GA Grit are still hunting! The season may not be here yet, but that pitbull mentality means we stay hungry and disciplined all year.

Zooming in on the goal because the vision never changes. Through this lens, all we see is dominance. Time to refocus and execute.
